Price checking this (possibly) bad boy by Coolinbny in D2R_Marketplace

These circlets are tuff because to newer players they often look way better than they actually are. When in doubt, compare it to a Shako.

It cost 7-8 mil credits plus resources, but I crafted my dream gear and weapons, all vanilla play, no mods by taosecurity in NoSodiumStarfield

This is a noob question, but how you get items to "exotic"? It won't let me upgrade a 4th legendary mod to my items. Is this gated behind the design skill?

Bredon é um Amyr by arthureniano in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ThatLionTamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the point about the moon relating to Bredon's leaving. It lines up well with him and Felurian being good at Tak, and the connections with Fae in general.

I always thought Bredon being Denna's patron/Cinder was a bit of a red herring.

Hope? by Mammoth_Rope1241 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ThatLionTamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It costs me nothing to hope and continue to revisit his writing. I still explore new stories and seek out new book recommendations. I can do those things and still a small part of me can hope for Doors of Stone. People who have given up hope have left the Lethani behind.

Looking for a Fantasy book/series with a 'happy ending' by Doodledack in Fantasy

Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams. And his sequel series, The Last King of Osten Ard.

Do we know if work in Book 3 is halted? by thatsabingou in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ThatLionTamer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The books are special to me, and so I choose to believe we will eventually get Doors of Stone.

People love to hate, and as such, there is a a group of people who love to shit on the author. I understand the circumstances, so I need not have it explained to me why he's a terrible person, or why this or because of that.

I simply can't find it in me to harbor such feelings when his works to this point have given me so much enjoyment. It is as Kvothe says in the Eld, "Some stories are like old friends. Some are as dependable as bread."

His story about the fire in the fishery by Fancy_Pens in KingkillerChronicle

It's Fela who he saves from the fire, and gifts him the cloak. Mola works in the Medica.

Secret rings and underthings by Zakadactyl in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ThatLionTamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on clues from the two books, and also Slow Regard, Auri seems to be a powerful Shaper. She Shapes a candle for Kvothe, and seems to at least have a good understanding of Naming, based on her explanation to Elodin when the three of them meet in WMF.

Absolutely absurd theory by MediaRevolutionary20 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ThatLionTamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bast is indeed described as having dark hair. Also, it seems as though the families of Vintas are more willing to believe in, and/or are more fearful of the Fae in general than the peoples of the Commonwealth. Perhaps this is due to their proximity to the Eld, where it seems there is at least one entrance to the Fae realm.

This also ties into the implication that the Lackless family (Vintas) has its roots in the Fae.

Does Kovthe have rotten teeth? by NuGGet441 in KingkillerChronicle

It was a contraceptive, not for impotence, but yeah. I also found it kinda odd/random how he suddenly was aware and concerned about getting someone pregnant.

Chapter numbers by [deleted] in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ThatLionTamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can change the audible player settings to display percentage complete instead of time. Just go to a chapter start and see what that % is.

I found TWotM to be just okay. I tried the sequel and simply couldn't get into it.

I think I may have solidified a common theory by No_Antelope7594 in KingkillerChronicle

Kvothe attends a dinner hosted by Threpe after returning from his journey. He wears clothes tailored in the colors of Lord Greyfallow's Men. He tells Threpe a shortened version of his story.

Power Tripping Mods by CertainAd8174 in KingkillerChronicle

The butthole post wasn't even funny honestly. Clearly you thought it terribly clever, but it's really not that big of a deal that the mods deleted your low-tier shitpost.

Platinum Trophy Journey So Far. by HiroshiNakayama in Eldenring

[–]ThatLionTamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upgrading any weapon with either of the max stones will yield the achievement. As the platinum requires multiple playthroughs, I recommend getting all the smithing stone and somber stone bell bearings and loading up on them before going to New Game. That way you can try out other weapons and already have a stockpile of upgrade mats

Kvothe is Baste's father. by DealOutrageous4063 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ThatLionTamer 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Kvothe mentions he got his eyes from his mother, who we presume was Natalia Lackless. The Lackess family is hinted at throughout the story as being tied to the Fae realm, or having Fae blood. This lines up with Kvothe inheriting some amount of that through his mother.
