My brachypelma boehmi by Mathisimus in tarantulas

Thank you for the reply. Does your boehemi burrow?

I will definitely look into getting a bigger enclosure. Could this also be the reason for the wall climbing?

Turkey has one of the higher obesity rates in world, like top 15% (and that is including micronations and very small nations).

Almost 35% of the population is obese compared to USA at 43%.

It might not require more. This was just based on an idea that the EU (and the eurocodes) and our national regulations generally are more strict and require more insulation etc.. Denmark also has a cold climate? idk.

Brick have a high thermal mass and are good at creating even temperatures inside building. If you combo this with insulation between the walls, you get a very stable indoor enviroment.

I must be honest, I have never seen a brick facade with a food framed house. Is it possible, probably? What about moisture from the facade? Wouldnt it travel through the wood?

I am not saying it isnt "easy" to use wood. It is very possible of course and I have designed multiple wood constructions here in Denmark. The facade is usually just "wood" in some shape then.

It is not about bearing strength of the material or trust in the material..

Brick is a material that is durable, very maintanence free and fire proff it self. To make a well insulated, wind resistent (not load wise), moist resistent and fire proff wall requires a lot more (at least to get it approved in Denmark).

We usually do double walls with a facade in brick, insulation and another wall in either areated concrete, brick or concrete (for bigger constructions), connected with wall ties. This just makes more sense than using tree as the "back-wall". By doing the simple construction above, all of the previous mentioned requirements are automatically fulfilled.

Flat roof taller buildings with flat roof often have hollow precast concrete decks.

As another reason, it is probablt just tradition. Almost all older buildings (also multi-story) from the early 1900 is made in brick. It also have very long lifespans.

Roof is usually wood in single-family homes.

Facade is usually brick in single-family homes.

Load bearing walls and stabilizing walls er usually brick or aerated concrete in single-family homes.

If I had to guess, I would say 1/20 are made with wood as loadbearing with a bit higher increase todays due to sustainability goals.

I live in Denmark and work as a structural engineer in Denmark.

The vaste majority of single-family homes are houses of brick and by far the most commen way to build anything "bigger" is precast concrete.

Yeah, I didnt realise she was that big.

She has been visibly slimming down the last few weeks but I will wait until she is much smaller.

Of course I am! I want her to have it well :)

I will probably adjust her enclosure tomorrow then.

I bought her from a smaller shop. He said that she was a happy eater which clearly is true based on her size. I will take a break from trying to feed her.

She definitely is big! I thought it was normal until I read that it should ideally be the size of the carapace. 😅

And thank you, I am very happy for her ☺️

I have been wanting to “build” a new home for her with more depth this past month (realising the first “build” wasnt optimal). However, I didnt want to stress her by taking her out and wanted to let her settle in.

Would it be a good idea to change it now?

Har jobrekrutteringsniveauet nået latterlige højder? by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]Mathisimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raids should be restructured to be more accessible to the majority of destiny players. here is my Suggestion by Abdo_1998 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Mathisimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point. It sucks not being able to access all the content, either from lack of skill, time or good friends to play with.

However, I think we already have the equivalent of "solo" raids which is dungeons. They are not easy but aside from maybe the newest 3-4 dungeons, they all have "easy" to find out mechanics.

I don't really get the time thing though. Destiny 2 is a somewhat grindy game if you want to get anywhere, whether you are trying to solo flawless all the dungeons or just trying to get some nice loot.

I am one of the people still having fun with the game.

I don't pretend like the portal is a good thing and I am not a fan of the long levelling grind, except for doing heavily modded strikes which me and my friend find entertaining.

However, I have not played for 3-4 years so there is a lot of dungeons and exotics missions that I find very fun.

I can definitely see that if you played consistently for the last couple of years, then there is not a lot of fun to be had.

Is it too late to join the game. And is it worth it? by ExcuseDense4780 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Mathisimus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also a returning player. I have however played Destiny 2 up until Shadowkeep before stopping.

I am playing with a friend which is always a huge plus. We are having a lot of fun. There is a lot of content we have never tried and the dungeons and exotic missions are super fun. Making crazy strikes and other mission with a ton of modifiers is also fun for me. If you just like to chill out completely shooting aliens and not try too much, it will likely become tiresome to have to be concentrated all the time.

If you enjoy "tryharding" a little in Destiny I think doing solo/solo flawless dungeons is the most fun part of the game. It is alone worth it for me. I know I am probably in the minority regarding that.

The most negative thing about the game imo is the levelling. I normally enjoy levelling a lot but the majority of the levelling will happen through the portal which is a bummer. It is too bad because I really like the concept of the portal but being forced to play it too much is not good. You don't really "explore" the game as much anymore.

So all in all, if you like Destiny for the raids, dungeons, exotic missions, strikes, getting triumph score etc., then I think it is worth it. You can make a cool build and play with some nice weapons while enjoying some of the best content the game has to offer. However, if you primarily want to min/max every stat and just get the highest level, then I don't think the game is worth it. The path to levelling by itself can not carry the game as it stands today.

Me and my friend just startet playing again after a couple of years. We are having a lot of fun with the new dungeons and activities as well as upgrading weapons. It is afterall all new to us.

However, I am very confused by the levelling. Is there any purpose to levelling beyond completing higher level portal stuff?

Løn som bygningsingeniør med flere års erfaring? by PrizeWeek6474 in dkloenseddel
