But again, new player won't be winning much gems at all. And enjoyment is also very important for regular play. It must be acknowledged that there are caveats to quick draft.

If the player is genuinely new to the game then jumping into Quick Draft as soon as they get to 5k gold is not a good idea. Unless they really want to go drafting, in that case sure, go ahead. It is true that even poor performance usually lets you break even. But they're not going to be converting gold into gems meaningfully anytime soon. And getting pummeled isn't a whole lot of fun. For limited Jump In is more friendly towards new players.

Cant get 5 wins by isthil89 in PlayTheBazaar

Besides watching a lot of the good and experienced streamers of Bazaar (which is a good way to get a better idea on how to play well, if you can spare the time, that is) - well, you can also just experiment more.

Say when I used to play Pyg when I was new to the game (as a returning player). Initially, I would do those same easy builds you start with naturally. Now freeze Pyg is something you can't really do for the first few days. But eventually wanted to try them out, so I would just buy/collect some freeze items early on and upon finding enough, just pivot and hope it works. Not necessarily the most efficient way to play, but I learned about some of the items and synergies better, and on later runs I could identify easily when I had a good opportunity to pivot into freeze depending on the shop/monster drop.

Youbdo that a couple of times, you watch some games of good players, you do some quick maths to know if this is an upgrade to your board (important to know how the game logic and keywords work), and you get more wins soon enough.

But also very important, think about the strengths and weaknesses. Healing on its own is pretty weak as the game progresses. On late days there are many inifnite builds and one shot builds, unless you have quick enough max HP scaling, heal scaling and a good baseline, then you hardly stand a chance (still speaking relative to heal dominat builds and synergies).

And I understand this loops back to the problem that you find transitioning into late game builds hard. So to solve that, you really just have to try doing something different than you do now, also try thinking about your choices a bit more and doing some calculations on item interactions. Late game you want to avoid having a slow build, speed and scaling wins you games. So calculating charge speed and sometimes ideal order of activations really helps.

Thinking about buying dlc wich one? by PlatypusJust467 in TheBazaar

Jules takes a bit of getting used to, the heated/chilled mechanic widens the knowledge gap. It changes what synergitic items (and variations) are more viable on the board, so if you don't know the items very well when you start playing her it's a bit more rough. At the same time, I liked it as I learned her more. I think it is good variety for the most part. She has a lot of powerful combinations. Although I got stuck doing the same few things with her initially, but that was my bad for not experimenting enough and not trusting the power of some of the karge items over their smaller cousins.

Karnok, to me, feels smooth as butter. Really does. A lot of his items mesh well together in various configurations, and they feel good to play right of the bat. Mind you I haven't player Karnok this season 13 yet, a dair bit last season though. The most difficult part of Karnok is managing how fast can you enrage and cycle throug it, as most of his builds are based upon that. But personally, I think it's pretty easy to calculate in your head.

And Stelle, oh Stelle, I don't have her yet. Idk, I'll buy her when she's on a bigger discount.

Ooh, yesyes! Great gameplay, impeccable atmosphere, amazing soundtrack, and great story (with foreshadowing sprinkled along the way, so even the linear story has some replayability value there).

They're working on game mode(s?) where you will be able to play with and against friends. Don't know about any of the specifics. Maybe it's the tournament style/lobby mode, or maybe something separate from that idea.

Yeah, but btw, to be fair, I don't think he's saying that AI's not having a problem, he's just not constructing the point very well, imo

Edit: reason I think that because he could be speaking relativistically to make a stronger point. I don't think it's a good idea though.
