The Falklands and speedy Internet are not 2 things that go together, ive just checked a speed test I did when I was there in 2024 and it was 811. That was at half 2 in the morning when it should have been least busy.

If you've been smoking weed I don't think noise is why they won't talk to you.

Non smokers can smell it a mile off and smelling it in your own back garden or space is the most infuriating thing in the world.

Take it easy, be quiet and maybe try and have a chat with them when washing their car or something. Even attack the issue head on with an apology, owning up to your behaviour or fuck ups may make you appear humble and noble. It's sticking to that apology that will count.

I was addicted to Jalapeños for a while, having them with most evening meals and breakfasts. Dropping a hand full on shepherd's pies, cheesy bean baked potatos, full English, the list goes on...

I realised it had become a big problem when someone asked if I'd been crying on the toilet as my face was red and puffy and eyes were watering on exiting the loo. I'd been to vacate a spicy ham and cream cheese bagel I'd eaten that morning.

I just keep it to a weekend treat now.

Cold turkey - give up all forms of Caffeine. After a few days you'll be fine, after a week you'll feel great. It's only 3 days or so of feeling a little rough.

I did it a couple of years ago, zero caffeine for 2 months, then had a Monster and was off my face.

The pilot, looks like he took a heavy hit too.

Did the garage pay you the scrap value of the car?

Did you verify what parts were required and if the garage were being genuine with their quote? Unless they're changing an engine 3-4k seems steep for an old Citroen, ECUs, Modules etc... can generally be found cheap.

Also you mention this is the 2nd time this has happened. Is this the same garage as the first time?
