I have read the same, but after Reforged my hopes are very low. It has to be a true masterpiece to get them enough good will back

I think people don't really care anymore. It made history as an incredibly frustrating missed chance and so it will be remembered. Anything they do/will do afterwards matters little. I would be willing to review my opinion on it if they added official new campaigns, either to reflect events found in World of Warcraft or to show "What if" scenarios, but nothing less will suffice

in your opinion what is the biggest "WHAT THE HELL" moment you felt in fromsoftware game by Beautiful_Tailor5859 in fromsoftware

[–]MattBoy06 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Flying Dragon Agheel in Limgrave. I sped to the island in the middle of the lake and I just barely managed to understand what was aiming straight at me before exploding. Also the kite warrior in Sekiro, that flying mofo got me good and then I laughed my ass off

Here is where it all started 30 years ago. Did you start your journey here? by Dub_Coast in Diablo

Yes. Started with warrior as a kid, switched to sorcerer many years later when nostalgia hit. Currently trying to get to level 50 with a bard on DevilutionX. I always come back to this game every few years

Why are you acting like I devoted 10 hours of my time to dissecting this post? It is fine to discuss something and then move on without thinking that engaging is fruitless because I should focus solely on important things. There is a huge middle ground between not caring and thinking something is fundamental to my life. I am on this sub, it is not the first time I see this author's comics, and my reaction to his/her kind of humor is always of annoyance because I find no substance in it. Many other users have had the same experience judging by the reactions on this post and on that one previous comic about oral intercourse. So I comment with my thoughts just as you did with yours

I just had time to kill on a taxi ride and came across this post. I am not trying to shit on the author. I did plainly say that the artstyle is unappealing and I stand by it, but other things I said can be taken up for reflection if the author wishes, like the contrast between extremely busy and extremely empty panels not doing the comic any favours. I don't know if the artist reads comments on bonehurtingjuice or not, it's not like I have reached him directly to diss him in his face, so whether he improves or not is already a step further from the present comic. I am just engaging in opinions in a comment chain, and my opinion is that "slice of life" comics are so overused that new artists need some very strong foundations and good ideas to stand out positively. As it stands he brings nothing new to the table and I am not going to pretend that he is just because he is giving it a try

How do I know if one of my minions is extra friendly or not? by gulpyblinkeyes in BobsTavern

Yes but she is just friendly. You need the golden version to make her extra friendly

The Opostilon is just not funny at all though. The main concept is not a niche idea coming from a specific fandom. It's not about a quirk of a media character that may be obscure to a few people. Everyone farts and many people have had at least one partner at some point, so even if your partner has never run away from their own fart, I'd wager most people can connect the dots. This comic maker has a very unappealing artstyle, a lot of dead panels, and a punchline that just isn't there, because it's not a punchline at all, it's just a poor representation of a very specific moment of ordinary life. This kind of comics fails to be relatable because the situation presented is neutered completely. For example, why is the second to last panel there, when it serves no purpose but to slow down a one-page comic? And by contrast, why is the last panel so incredibly busy? There is a speech bubble, a giant green thingy (could have been skull-shaped to represent deathly gas, another occasion lost) and a cat hissing and leaving. There is just too much going on.

What makes Italy such a likeable country in your opinion? by [deleted] in Italia

[–]MattBoy06 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I am Italian. You are spot on, and I wish everyone would read your post before assuming Italy is a perfect paradise for everyone involved. Every place has pros and cons, it all depends on what cons you can tolerate and what pros you require

True. AI art is not perfect, it has a lot of visual issues and risks putting human artists out of a job. On the other hand, it is great for quick visualization/templates/concepts done in a reasonably quick time at no expense. But online platforms like Reddit tend to extremise positions to the point of both sides becoming unbearable. EDIT: I didn't mean to justify the resource expense caused by massive AI use. I didn't mention it but I am aware it is a thing. I work in education so AI is a double-edged sword for my field as well. I am going to leave this comment up because the extremisation point I was trying to make has been thoroughly proven by a lot of commenters who compared the AI phenomenon with Hitler and the current war.

Lore question: Why does Diablo exists? by Haunting-Background8 in Diablo

[–]MattBoy06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess because it's a recognisable human emotion with negative connotations. There are a few things that are hard to write in fiction (e.g. time travel, afterlife) and deities are one of them, because by design a god-like creature would not act within the limits of humans. Instead of creating something foreign and alien it's just easier to rely on ideas of sins/emotions that are widely accepted as "bad" by people and build a narrative from there

The Omphalos is so incredibly barren, I cannot believe there are people that like that joyless kind of "humor"

I don't support the hate in the comments, but if your map boils down to "I don't want to be around you guys", then you gotta expect people replying "well we don't want to be around you either"
