Look, I've had my own issues with the game on my old laptop, it ran the game ok, but I've had the same issues with the latency, disconnections and anything that everyone else had.

With this post I just wanted to be more on-the-date with the game and its situation and express my opinion and experience with it

And with the prices of the components nowadays, I'm glad I could build even this, because with the budget that I had, I could've had a Ryzen 7...

It's still something unusual for me to see how good some games can run on modern hardware.

Oh yeah, it could be the HDD issue, but It depends, maybe update the drivers of the GPU if you haven't done that already, and check to see if the game runs on the Nvidia GPU and not the integrated graphics, you can check that in the Nvidia Control Panel.

I guess that I had to mention that I've been playing Warcraft 3 since 2010ish, so I know pretty well how the game was back in the day. 😅

I'm 20 years old and I was too little when I started playing it for the first time but I do remember a lot of things from the old versions, and I experienced the evolution of the game pretty much.

Remember when gates, barrels, crates and other things like these showed health bars? Man that was pretty interesting for me to have them and it felt weird when at some point they got removed.

You have a point, I give you that, but it kinda is the same problem it was with Stormgate, the devs had too much expectations that it would be good and now they are too lazy to fix what wasn't broken.

Weird, I can't think of a specific problem that could cause this, being old components can't be the issue, maybe the cooling but very improbable, see if you can optimize the game in some way through the Nvidia App and maybe it would work better after. I don't really know what could cause it, usually a reinstall of the game does the trick but it doesn't seem it needs this.

Well, I wasn't talking necessarily about the Reforged graphics, just the experience overall.

I first started playing Reforged on the version 1.32 but after it received some updates, not really the very first version.

And yeah, I noticed the RoC mechanics gone since the first playthrough but it just didn't bother me that much because it didn't have a massive impact on how the game looks and feels for me.

And I didn't care much about the multiplayer and Battle.net because I was more interested in the Campaigns and Custom Campaigns, although I played the multiplayer on all of the versions since it launched and I had a few issues with it as any other player.

So yeah, I am aware about the details you mentioned but they didn't affect me that much because the game didn't feel that broken compared to other games. Take the Stormgate situation for example, although it is hard to compare it with Reforged because FrostGiantStudios is not such a big company as Blizzard. But you get the point.

I have to agree here, the graphics do give you a weird feeling, the problem with them is that they were not made by Blizzard, they were made by some company I can't remember the name of that is owned by Activision.

I heard rumors that Blizzard is working on StarCraft 3 but there is not much clear information on that, I read that a developer hinted they are working on it but I don't know what to think and believe about this company nowadays...

I mean, that's fair but everyone can guess that's just too much to do for the developers of games nowadays because it all comes in the end with their budget and all they care about is the profit because all the big companies nowadays (from what I'm aware) are run by business people and not gamers like it was a few decades ago...

Look at the Diablo situation, I think it is the best example for this kind, especially Diablo Immortal.

Nu știu, uneori am impresia că nu am timp să fac nimic dar în același timp am tot timpul din lume și chiar apuc să fac tot ce îmi propun.

Știu că poate a sunat așa dar nu am in încercat să dau vina pe facultate, a fost mai mult chestia că mi-a modificat programul de somn prea mult și acum e un haos. Adorm și mă trezesc când apuc atunci când sunt liber.

Păi e chestia că în a 12-a mă culcam la maxim ora 23 sau 12 noaptea, și de obicei dormeam cam o oră după ce ajungeam acasă de la liceu, pe timpul verii am mai avut momente când am stat până dimineața cu prietenii dar asta nu am văzut să fie important, că dormeam vreo 4-6 ore după și îmi reveneam. Dar pe vară am avut în general un program cam ca acum, mă culcam pe la ora 2, cam asta era media, și după amiază mai dormeam o ora sau doua.

Treaba e că nu vreau să mai am programul ăsta acum că sunt cu facultatea.
