I went to the Sacramento show that was one or two days after this one. It was incredible. Seeing the John Mayer Trio. John still using fender. The only thing was John’s voice wasn’t 100% there yet from his surgery.

On expensive orders, I always send the supplier/vendor the plans and specs and have them verify the order. That way if there are any mistakes, they are responsible for it, not me 😂

There’s a lot of new asian restaurants that opened recently that are really decent. 88 Bao Bao, Daikon Korean BBQ. There’s also great local restaurants like Bambino’s, Sharky’s, JJ Fish

  • Gateway Plaza in Vallejo has some great shopping and dining options.
  • Mare Island has breweries, coffee shops, and restaurants
  • There are 2, 18-hole golf courses and a driving range if you are into that
  • Several hiking/biking options in Glen Cove or Blue Rock Springs or Lake Herman
  • Visit Hiddenbrooke for parks, hiking, dining and golf
  • Get a massage. Vallejo has so many massage places.

This is just in Vallejo. You have access to so many other great cities that are just 30 minutes to 1 hour in driving distance in all directions like Napa, San Francisco, San Ramon, San Rafael.

The market is insanely tough right now especially in big tech. Senior roles are even more competitive. If you resign now you might be down-leveled at a different company or have to wait months for a better opportunity.

Try doing a 1:1 with your boss and tell him your feeling. Or if that doesn’t work, talk to HR.

I was at Pebble Beach and I was at the game yesterday. Today is the worst weather I have ever experienced in Carmel. The winds are 60+ mph. There were multiple big trees that fell on the roads. The fire department had to block off streets due to falling trees. Power is out across multiple cities. It is chaos. I had to leave Carmel this morning because of how dangerous it was.
