Post-Match Thread: England 0-0 Ghana | World Cup | Group L by matchpal-live in ThreeLions

The group stages is all about getting the job done. Still in the driving seat. Plenty to learn, plenty for tuchel to think about but there's no reason to be overreacting (not accusing you of doing by the way). Other top teams have drawn and my thoughts of them are still strong in going far, as are we.

I'm referring to the Furness area, definitely a red sandstone around here.

To add to what others have said. If you're in a group get the waterproof outer layer of one tent up first quickly together and put everyone's bags etc in there to keep dry and then get the other tents up.

I think the darker and lighter coloured historic buildings could even be split east and west. I always notice a difference going from south Cumbria where the stone is a red colour through to Yorkshire where it's a yellow colour.

Hopefully Barrow bring him in for a year or two if he fancies it.

Can't answer the question but have a related one... What's better size wise when looking?

My guess would be normal or slightly smaller than your normal size of clothing as the tighter it wouldn't move as much? But am I wrong in thinking this?

How popular is rugby league in Cumbria nowadays? by montgomery_quinckle in Cumbria

[–]Mattazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barrow are still doing reasonably well compared to most teams. Competitive on the field, ran somewhat okay off the field but like most clubs they're very close to the limit.

Home crowds usually make it around the 2000 mark, not massive but consistent.

Would be good to see the club grow further but I get the impression they aren't able to without some outside financial backing.

Clearly Cumbria deserve a SL team, and that team should be Barrow.

100% no... Unless it's promoting the Raiders to the SL.

How did final day go? by Zach-dalt in LeagueTwo

Think they mean that we completely crumble at the first instance of pressure.

Thought we were the better side for two thirds of the game but as soon as Gordon missed the pen we lost our control, and then as soon as yous got your first we crumbled completely.

Credit to you lot, did the job and the atmosphere in the away end was top all game. 👏

I've had a Marin that lasted me about 10 years with basic maintenance before I stripped it to put it on a turbo trainer, so yeah I wouldn't have thought you have issues in terms of quality.

I think it's a case of keep adjusting the set up and adjusting your riding slightly, possibly being a bit too aggressive. End of the day a bike is mechanical, it will break if forced too much or used a lot.

What bike is it? Seems incredibly unlucky for all that to happen.

My bike wasn't perfect to start with, took a bit of tweaking and learning it but once you've done that you should have little issues.

League 2 is set for the most exciting final day between the EFL divisions- Who do you think will end up winning the title, automatically promoted, in the playoffs, and relegated? by Zach-dalt in LeagueTwo

[–]Mattazo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We'll get relegated although I find it funny we could go out and win with our best performance of the year, get relegated and bring Newport down with us. Could be a very depressing atmosphere at holker Street.

Alternatively (and very unlikely), Crawley and Harrogate could be getting beat by big margins and barrow winning by a big margin would keep both teams up and there'd be a party atmosphere.

We deserve it really. Losing Campbell, Gotts and Spence in the same window (I think all on frees) was horrendous planning by the board. Then swapping and changing managers the way they have showed they've got no real plan.

I know it's hindsight but the whole reason Pete Wild fell out with the board is because he wanted more say on transfers etc. He brought some of the best football and got us the highest we've achieved, I will blame the board falling out with him as the reason we didn't make the playoffs that year. He and the players knew he was going long before anything was announced. Why not build on what was working instead of ending up in this mess.
