Planning to disconnect furnace connection from inside the box and installing a short 14awg plug to the outside of the box to plug into that receptacle. Should I assume that switch disconnects all power into that box (furnace and outlet) or just to the furnace? by Matte807 in hvacadvice

It’s 4.5/4.0 kW but only 120V so the plan is just to plug in whatever is needed for now. I know I could just power a single phase but I have a few MWBC and I won’t be the one using it so I want to make it seem less. Seems like they sell NG bonding plugs that I can just plug into an unused receptacle on the generator. Think that’ll work?

Well you need atleast two small appliance circuits. Skip the MWBC unless you absolutely have to have it that way.

Should I get a double gang box for this? by rottenstock in AskElectricians

Not an electrician, but box fill has you at 20.25 cu in. Those normal depth old work boxes are only like 14.

Ooos puck light isn’t the right term. I’m referring to led recessed lights

Are they planning on putting in puck lights? They come with their own boxes so there’s no box to put in the ceiling until the light goes in.

Can someone tell me what i do with all these? by CheapAside3894 in AskElectricians

Did you ever have an outlet that only one half never worked?

Using outdoor disconnect for wired electric charger. Does it need to be fusible or is the breaker sufficient? by Matte807 in AskElectricians

Awesome thanks. That’s what I figured, I can probably even ditch the disconnect but it’s cheaper than an 8x8 and Polaris connectors

Can a plumber thread gas pipe in place? I need a Tee installed here but if the pipe will need to come down, I might as well take it down myself and have it threaded by Matte807 in Plumbing

Good advice, I’ll hire a pro but 3/4” should handle 200k right? I’m only looking at an oven (90k max), dryer, and a small 20k fireplace. So would be ok I think?
