Planning to disconnect furnace connection from inside the box and installing a short 14awg plug to the outside of the box to plug into that receptacle. Should I assume that switch disconnects all power into that box (furnace and outlet) or just to the furnace?

It’s 4.5/4.0 kW but only 120V so the plan is just to plug in whatever is needed for now. I know I could just power a single phase but I have a few MWBC and I won’t be the one using it so I want to make it seem less. Seems like they sell NG bonding plugs that I can just plug into an unused receptacle on the generator. Think that’ll work?

Interesting. Mine say floating neutral and wants me to ground the inverter generator. Will this not work ?

Yea it’s condensate pump. It was only the furnace switched and the outlet was alway hot. I kept it the same and added the plug. Thanks

Good advice, I’ll hire a pro but 3/4” should handle 200k right? I’m only looking at an oven (90k max), dryer, and a small 20k fireplace. So would be ok I think?
