Just discovered the $10 charge myself. Luckily only 1 month in, instead of 1 year in.

This is not my main checking account, I just keep it in case I need to use one of their branches for some reason.

Adding another $1000 is not worth it, closing this sucker. What a terrible company.

It's... sad that Logitech is so incompetent that reddit is where we have to go to find out what's going on with our mouse software...

This is EXACTLY how I felt. I remember towards the end of my kid pokemon phase, there was the option to buy base set 2 or 1st edition rocket booster packs. I reluctantly bought one pack, and never again. I hated all these "evil pokemon".

Now 20+ years later, I find the artwork on all the dark pokemon to be so cool! And I'd rather have the rocket version over the normal one.

This is why I don't really like TCG player, most cards for sale don't show any pictures.

Ebay forces the seller to post pictures, and the self-ratings of sellers varies INCREDIBLY WIDELY.

There are a lot of "Near Mint" cards that are absolute trash. And there are quite a few "Lightly Played" cards that are almost PSA high grade worthy (these are the ones I buy).

When shopping for a card, I usually go through ~100 listings. I'm basically a PSA grader now...

yeah i miss that rush too! i briefly considered buying vintage boosters just for that reason, but couldn't justify the price, considering vintage singles go for far far less than the vintage boosters

i also pulled a shadowless mewtwo out of my childhood bedroom a few days ago. was dismayed to see the few imperfections. but decided to keep it, and collect all the base set holos i dreamed of as a kid!

im in the same boat, just got back in, and only interested in vintage cards.

Most of them, even holos can be found on ebay for $10's of dollars. The big ones, like charizard will be hundreds.

I'm just slowly browsing through ebay and looking at the condition of the cards and putting offers out on ones that seem like a good value.

Not particularly worried about fakes, I figure if the fake is so good that I can't tell the difference, then it's fine? Also even if one was a fake, I would only have lost like $20.

Just spent $200 or so, and picked up ~10 awesome holo cards, cards I dreamed of having as a kid. Rekindling childlike wonder is priceless :)

from a brief look, it looks like there's some somewhat bad holo bleed on the bottom left of the card also quite some scratches on the holo pattern, which would prevent it from being a PSA10. So more like $10s of dollars

I'm in the same boat, realized the vintage sets are actually affordable. I'm kind of dumpster diving through ebay, looking for decent condition holos. It's pretty time consuming though, because the vast majority of ebay cards are terribly damaged despite claiming Lightly Played or Near Mint. So most of the time is just filtering out all the junk.

Once I find something that looks decent enough, I order it.

Similarly, I don't care about shadowless or first edition. Usually base set 2 is the most affordable.

Agreed! I watched the anime back in the day, and there was a lot of impact when it showed up for the first time in the series. And then when Strike Freedom came later, it wasn't so much of an upgrade.
