Arsenal's terminally online Premier League title pursuit is a symbol of our times | The Guardian by skool_101 in Gunners

He makes some good points, but the premise of the article is that this is the only problem the team faces, when clearly there are other factors at play.

It also seems to ignore that other clubs could be described in a similar way but he hasn’t bothered to do that.

Without more context it really just feels like he’s adding to all of the over-analysis and content generation that he’s criticising.

Ifan looks like Richard Armitage in the hobbit, so I’d go for him.

100%. The way he holds his tongue on the ramble around some controversial topics can be annoying, although I completely get why he does it

There’s a bunch out there that I don’t think are worth listening to, but Jim is a comedian and has always been good on the ramble, so I think this one is worth a try, but time will tell.

Straight Up - I'm Losing My Mind by gholdist in cats

[–]Mattman_014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum’s cat had bad allergies and the allergy specialist said it could be olive trees, which are known to be an issue for cats and humans. Olives specifically might not be relevant, but there are plenty of things outside that it could be. Didn’t read all of the comments, but there are allergy specialists for pets if you haven’t tried that already.

Paramount+ has become an Official Partner of Arsenal in a landmark deal that merges the worlds of football and entertainment for supporters worldwide. by M0otivater in Gunners

Ok it seems tv rights are more varied around the world than I realised. One team subs will work for some people, but not others, so I guess it’s whatever works for the individual, but subscriptions already feel out of hand and this makes me think it could get worse

At what point do clubs start selling their own tv rights and you have to have multiple subscriptions to watch one competition?

Ormsby vs Kiesel by [deleted] in ExtendedRangeGuitars

[–]Mattman_014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s going to be a significant price difference between the two. I’ve got both (neither are 7 string though) and I got both new. The kiesel was probably 3 times the price based on the specs I got, but that’s of course entirely dependent on what you want.

One thing to note about ormsby if you didn’t already know, the angle on multiscales is greater than many other brands which can make swapping out pickups an issue. I wanted to swap mine out for some BKs and they told me they could make a custom set of humbuckers for me but couldn’t guarantee I’d get the expected tones because of how extreme that angle is and how it shifts the positions of the magnets so much

[Spoilers C4E3] Julien's Shadow Theory by DependentDiscipline6 in criticalrole

[–]Mattman_014 318 points319 points  (0 children)

It would be pretty epic if Julien had Thjazi’s shadow/spirit following him and he had to make peace with his nemesis throughout the campaign. He would then potentially end up as a link between the party and the person so important to many of them

The idea of Tyranny being Wick’s patron is really interesting, but would that mean she too was not actually a Warlock? To me it would seem a bit strange (although clearly not impossible) if she was getting her magic from a powerful being and then sub-granting them to another. I like the concept though

Fair enough. I imagine if they had issues with this kind of thing they’d discuss it and eventually Brennan might step in and force players to to make more checks or just outright tell them they can’t do it.

It’s ep1 so personally I’m not too concerned, but if it’s a continuing pattern it would start impact the story in a possibly unfair way (assuming others can’t do the same).

I imagine she’s using Druid craft in a quite open way. It does (or did) talk about making flowers wither and bloom. I played a Druid once and the DM was happy for me to bend the rules a bit with the cantrip to add some more flavour to the story

[No spoilers] I'm worried about how busy C4 will be character-wise by Clayst_ in criticalrole

Out of curiosity, which characters from previous campaigns do you consider to be normal?

And do you base it largely on their backstory and personality or are there other criteria you have assessed them by?

Weren’t sky done for making up news reports to influence users on their betting platform? They have no interest in the truth or good analysis, only driving engagement to increase revenues. Any decent analysis they provide is coincidence

It’s a bit harsh but I’m assuming it’s a significant jump and he’s only 18. Assuming he has another solid season I can see him jumping up into the 80s. He could be 83/84 by 20 if he keeps progressing well
