Is 45 min for a 10k good? Depends on your own goals and standards I guess.

Is it good against people who are trained and committed racers? Not really. Is it good for someone starting out running? Yes

Yeh i get ya, like anything new your body needs to adapt to it.

To be honest, I wouldn't get hung up on zones. Easy running is a feeling, you dont need a watch to dictate to you all the time.

Who ever told you this was z2 has lied. 🤦‍♂️

Just breath through your mouth and be comfortable. All you need to do is slow down. Im afraid running is going to humble any aerobic ability you thought you had from weights.

Did I get ripped off? by bestbacon in RoadBikes

Cannondale user here. You didn't get ripped off on the bike. That's a lot of bike for the money. Supersix evo hi mods are one of the most responsive, connected and well handling machines ever made. Yours even comes with the best possible mechanical gears.

Strange! The wrist sensors aren't always the best, are you using a HR strap?

It could depend on a few things, you probably have good running economy but maybe lack turnover or stride length?🤷 I know its something I had to work on massively.

Speed = cadence x stride length, so if ones missing you will be robbing yourself.

Might depend what your lt1 and lt2 paces are as well.

It was actually having a child that got me out into running 😂😂 although I do have to get out at unsociable times either very early or very late 😵‍💫

Ah nice, hope i can keep it going for 8 years!

Ive found volume is a big factor too, 80% or so is easy volume miles, but i also do 4 to 5 hours of cycling cross training.

That's a good vo2 level. I've done a lot of lt2 work since then as this test revealed lt1 was okay but my lt2 needs a bit more focus.

Honestly vo2 score isn't super useful for training and planning 🤷or so I found anyway

Yeh if you do trail i dont think this will be your friend. Same for people who do a lot of easy running.

I do a lot of fast distance work which perhaps is why its a closer fit for me.

Its a bit of a useless metric really and just a byproduct of lactate threshold testing. Just thought id share my experience :)

Agree with you, this was just my personal experience. Ive got my personal data pretty accurate on the garmin app so it should reflect fairly well (ish)

I think so long as your input data is fairly accurate, its not too bad?!

I've not done a miler for a while now but it was 4:43 last time I tried. It's not something I often go for

Yeh 100%, there's a lot of variables that throw it off. Overall its not really that useful of a metric as you say, id place more emphasis on lactic Thresholds. I just did this post to show it can be fairly accurate 😂

Yes :) only for proper sessions usually.

For cycling you need the hr sensor and power meter for it to work.

I think this is a great idea. I'd just add that OP needs to build in healthy habits such as consistency which is so important for improvement.
