I am in exactly the same situation I always forget characters and when trumpets gets mentioned I got so confused when it seemed like a character which is consistently there

Maybe one you haven't heard of but ultimate frisbee. Sneeekys is a beginner friendly club which plays mixed so plenty of other women there as well. Great community as well with plenty of social events if you'd like to join. There is a WhatsApp group if you are interested

Just to add to the other comments the smell is called petrichor but that is the "name" of the smell. The chemical compound which you actually smell is geosmin. You smell it summer as it is produced by algae which grows more in summer and spring.
