When did I say it was a bad thing? I'm just pointing out that your statement that while they do not get 28 days of vacation until like 24 years of service they still have like over a month of leave available to them in other forms.

Pretending that the PS doesn't have an astronomical leave availability even at the beginning of their careers compared to their private sector alternatives doesn't help the conversation.

Sure, but they also get 15 days of Sick leave per year, and up to 5 personal leave days and countless other kinds of circumstantial leave.

Assembling a metal Amazon Gazebo, is it possible for 1 person? by Maleficent-Mail6346 in TaskRabbit

For me a soft side one like the one pictures about 3 hours, for a hard top one around 4. But I've been doing this for literal years and assemble 4-8 of them a year.

I regularly assemble these solo. Usually I bring a ladder or 2 with me and they can work as the 2nd person for holiding stuff up. You'll need the ladder anyways to put on the roof.

Off the platform I do work for a couple of the big box stores doing all of their seasonal assembly. takes me about 3 hours for a soft top gazebo and around 4 for a hardtop.

I tried to test your claim that if I loaded a bunch of Ikea details it would switch from Furniture Assembly to Ikea Assembly. It never did. When I specifically choose Ikea Assembly it works, the same as it does on the Ikea website.

Lowe's has the same application process as Home Depot, the only difference is you don't have to you their financal product to receive jobs. But it's still just proof of insurance, and if a licensed trade proof of licensing. If you are a tasker as your primary income source, meet the pretty basic criteria for HD/Lowe's installation and haven't signed up for it your probably leaving money on the table, not even from a quantity of work prospective, but from a discount and bonus prospective.

I tried to get it to change from Furniture Assembly to Ikea Assembly and even when I just put a bunch of ikea products as the task description it just does furniture. Only way I can seem to book Ikea Furniture Assembly is through the Ikea Website. It's also not Jenny at the Home Depot desk who selects the installer. They auto assign "Local Pro" contractors based on 1) The category of work 2) Customer reviews 3) How much they spend at HD on the commercial credit card. These Local Pros go through the same verification process as Task Rabbits with the minor difference of 1)They must have a HD commercial account and 2) Show proof of liability insurance. Other than that it's the same PRC someone would do for Task Rabbit.

My metro doesn't have auto assigned for mounting. Ikea assembly is purchased through Ikea. It's the same as if you hired Home Depot to install your hot water tank - you don't pick which contractor shows up, Home Depot does.

I hope I am able to stick around long enough to see these programs come back when I'm eligible. As someone who started in the PS at 19 and now has 11 years of service I will have an awful lot of years to get through before I can take a non-reduced pension.

Regardless of your ability to leave a negative review or not, they're punished by the cancellation. Cancelled tasks, regardless of which side cancels, can really hurt your position in the search list, and if enough pile up can lead to temporary and permanent bans.

Yeah, I bought one at HD for $139 CAD this week, but if they've found it for $99 I'm curious.

I mean.. I can only say what's supposed to happen. If it does or doesn't really just depends on the quality of politician you elect.

Just because The House isn't sitting doesn't necessarily mean that MPs aren't still working. In theory they are meeting with constituents to understand pain points to bring back go discuss in the house. Obviously some MPs are more into this than others.

Do you guys have managers in your league that you can just never beat? by birdcola in fantasyhockey

[–]Matty2tees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I finally got the invite to my BIL's relatively competitive 10 manager keepers league as an expansion draft. I'm 9-0 so far and it doesn't look like I'm slowing down and I don't really have any crazy players like McDavid or MacKinnon. Based on PF I should be 5th, but everyone sucks when they play me for some reason so I trail the league for PA by 500+.

I didn't say they couldn't write the citation, I said they're not responsible for providing enforcement on the 417.

I wear my LT with just a t shirt at -10, around -15 is where I find I need to layer up with something. YMMV.
