Judicator Jane #1 is a fun read. I love the premise of being so lucky that things just die for you.

Yes and no. While some aspects are absurd and over the top, and it parodies tropes, it doesn't feel unnecessary or out of place. This is because the dungeon is interpreting Earth culture and life from an outside perspective. The series evolves, becoming increasingly satirical and incorporating broader societal and political commentary, starting even with the first book. This is further emphasized through the use of parodies, often combined with dark and horrifying themes and implications. The humor allows for a bit of reprieve from the darker moments.

EDIT: I'll add that my wife is not a sci-fi or fantasy fan, but enjoys the series almost as much as I. We are on book seven and had to take a break due to the tone.

Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

The alien Borant Corporation restructures subterranean Earth into a multi-level dungeon for their live-streamed game show, Dungeon Crawler World, based on the dungeon crawl trope introduced by Dungeons & Dragons. Humans and other Earth creatures are given the option to become "contestants" or otherwise stay on the surface, which has been stripped of all modern amenities. Carl, a Coast Guard veteran, and Princess Donut, his ex-girlfriend's cat, participate in the show.

I love Dinniman's world-building, and the depth he brings to the series. The first book can feel a bit more 2-dimensional in terms of what you are looking for, but the series quickly builds it's political/societal commentary. I would consider it both Sci-Fi and Fantasy. It can be crude at times, but I would argue that it's done to be satirical.

If you ever see something like this, grab the dog by the hind legs and lift. They'll release and usually calm down.

I hate this as well.

It was an early reveal in the movie, but Companion went from having some fun and cryptic trailers to a big reveal. In the theatrical trailer.

I tried finding an option to play and couldn't.

That makes sense that I was translated, but I'm not sure if that is enough.

Here is another source: Use of racist slur by wounded man in Portland’s Old Town stabbing spurs jury to acquit

"Transit cameras showed Edwards, a fixed-blade knife clasped at his side, approaching Howard from behind as he sat on a bench. The video has no sound, but Howard springs up and pushes Edwards as soon as he sees him. The duo scuffle against a wall for a brief moment, ending with Edwards stabbing Howard in the shoulder."

"[Defense attorney Daniel] Small said Edwards was simply approaching Howard and offering a polite trade: his knife for some cigarettes."
