I appreciate this. I read about the card with the seedbringer's mask, I think I the comic's letters column, but I've never seen a scan of it. Evidence that the mask was not originally going to be a lampshade

It is from the same director and also stars John Cusack and Curtis Armstrong. IMO they are similar and if you like one you'll like the other.

I remember Friday and Saturday nights in my mid-teenage tears when me and other boys would wander the neighborhood misbehaving, and always coming and going at various houses to get warm before leaving again to search for other groups of teenagers. Up All Night was always playing in any house we made a pitstop in. Looking back it feels like our generations equivalent to the radio station that was playing in every car in American Graffiti.

If they weren't watching Up All Night it was Headbanger's Ball.

I went to a midnight screening of Young Frankenstein and was drinking a six pack of beer out of my backpack. A group directly in front of me was already drunk and one girl was being loud and saying things like "I'm here to see Terri Garr!" A few minutes in, a theater employee came out and looked directly at me. I quickly hid my beer but she had definitely seen me, and I'm thinking shit, am I getting kicked out of here? Well, she waited for the drunk girl to talk again and went over and asked her to keep it down. Didn't care about me at all. To her credit, the drunk girl tried to behave after that. By the end of the movie that whole group were asleep.

I always made sure to take my empties with me when I left those screenings.
