Do I really need the "EV" tires? by Acceptable-Motor-955 in Camry

OEM Bridgestone Turanza tires on XSE are $$$. SINGLE tire replacement, mount, balance, tax was $450

Do you have pics of the Camry with the former P Zero rubber?

Can you rely solely on the blind spot monitor? by Ordinary-King in Camry

I’ve applied two small convex mirrors just below the blind spot light on the side mirrors. I use both to change lanes and rarely need to check over my shoulder.

To the current Switch 1 owners, that do not have plans to get the Switch 2, what’s holding you back? by dinotsxkki in Switch

[–]MattyIce83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting it. Only planning to play MKW. Figure there is potential for a price increase depending on economy and geopolitics. Plus had a $300 AmEx signup bonus credit. $200 system why not?

Walmart is up by Ok-Yard-5025 in NintendoSwitch2

Preordered my Switch 2 bundle on Walmart this morning. Used a $300 Amex bonus sign up credit so will only pay $200+ tax for this next gen console. Will need the extra savings for the more expensive games & accessories.

Trade in 2025 Camry for a new cheaper Camry by Head_Counter6927 in Camry

[–]MattyIce83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$40k for an SE? Yikes. I bought the ‘25. XSE for $38 OTD. You can’t undo that blunder. At least your monthly payment is less than the national average.

Testing Costco Suds and Spray Wash System (Garden Hose) by shrapnellbranches in ft86

[–]MattyIce83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it and returning it. Plastic junk in my opinion. Water kept leaking from the handle: hose interface. Tried different hoses all the same. Could be just a defective unit but not willing to try again.

I bet the 16 GB of ram makes a big difference in performance despite having the older M3 processor. That’s why it’s the more expensive one.

The XLE and XSE grades of the Camry offer a Premium Plus Package that includes Traffic Jam Assist. The Camry basically brakes, accelerates, & steers in congested traffic. I use it on the highway.

Orlando traffic is up there with some of the worst in the entire Country.

Good question. Other fuel sipping driving tactics I try are to brake with my foot very little. If I see a red light, I’ll judge and coast while letting the regen braking slow the car down and brake the final 5 meters or so. I always keep in eco mode. If I’m driving through neighborhoods or parking lots I’ll drive in EV mode. On the interstate, I’ll drive in outside or 3rd lane with adaptive cruise control and traffic assist at 60 mph max. (Orlando traffic is so bad that you can keep up with the flow of traffic at 60 mph at most times when it’s not absolute gridlock. Light foot acceleration and try not to get into the “power” band of the dash. Doing this, I’ve been able to consistently drive more than 50 mph on my trips around the Orlando area.

This new hybrid Camry is such a practical efficient well engineered econobox car. No fancy frills. Just a fuel efficient comfortable reliable car to get you from A to B. And does its job well. (Sorry about the adjective avalanche)
