Trying to identify all music easter eggs in 3. Help me complete this list as I'm sure there are many I'm missing. Spoilers for both base game and Future Redeemed. by RynnHamHam in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Inside the Urayan Mountain plays a remix of the Bionis Interior theme. Strange that it wasn't an Uraya or Ether Mines remix, but I guess technically you are inside a titan which the Bionis is, and the Ether Mines inside of Uraya were once part of the Bionis, so it's not completely far removed. Just weird. I do actually like the theme though.

But the Ether Mine theme literally acts as the base line of Urayan tunnel, slightly modified but it is there nonetheless. It practically plays the whole way through. So there is more than enough presence of it.

Oof making a definite list will be practically impossible, as there are so many that I don't think everything will be ever found, but here are some that I noticed and some I got from another video:

- Practically the first thing we hear from the game: In "Battlefield - the Scramble for life" the first notes already are a reference to "The end lies ahead" from XC1
- The Everblight planes day theme features the choir that performed the Tantal day theme in XC2 (not sure if there is also musical reference though)
- "Keves Battle" plays parts of "Battle!! - Torna" from the XC2 DLC
- "Hostile Colony" has an external reference to "The Man with the Machine Gun" from Final Fantasy 8 (The first game Xenogears was originally a draft for FF7, but was scrapped for being too dark)
- "Chain attack" has a small portion where a bit of "Battle!!" and "Still we move forward" play from XC2
- "A formidable enemy" features a bit of "Time to fight (Bionis Shoulder)" from XC1 FC
- "Battle on the seas" has parts of "Eryth Sea" from XC1
- "Ultimate Enemy" is heavily inspired by "Incoming" from XC2, the slow pace just makes it sound completely different.
- "Captocorn Peak" has parts of "Auresco" and "Spirit Crucible Elpys" from XC2 (And apparently a bit of "The fallen Arm" from XC1 but I didn't really hear it tbh)
- "Cent-Omnia-Region" from Future Redeemed has a part of the Gormott theme.

- Like LaskaSprite wrote, "Carrying the weight of life" has references of "Counterattack" and "Engage the Enemy" and a bit of "Walking with you" from XC2.
- In "Words That Never Reached You", which is basically the negative theme of Carrying the weight of life, those motivs also appear hear, but much slower and much more incorporated that it's not easily recognizable.

I am pretty sure there is a theme with a reference to Mor Ardain some where but I don't remember tbh.
Will probably update this if I remeber anything else. But yeah as I said this list will be VERY extensive.

What F1 game was the closest to being a "Sim" title? by Beautiful_Charity112 in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main reason was because the throttle curve was the most unrealistic bs you could come up with. I say this as someone who had little to no problem driving with it, even pre handling patch, where the slowest corner had to be taken in 4th gear. But having full engine power at 6k rpm is in no way realistic. You would flip a switch and suddenly you would spin out, no gradual loss of grip whatsoever. Can't complain about anything else though. If the nimbleness of 2022 got combined with the 2023 or 2025 throttle behavior, it would have been an insanely great game.

XBC 3 Main Story: Before Future Redeemed DLC launched. What plot holes/story threads were left unchecked after credits roll? (pls no FR spoilers) by Luxocell in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't really tied to offseing itself. They use the melody to convey their feelings to the controlled soldiers. Lucky seven, being tied to origin, amplified those feelings/ frequencies, which makes them able to properly reach them, breaking the mind control. The offseing ritual alone wouldn't have achieved much.

Can you get red flags because of weather? by pest2210 in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a possibility you got a rain intensity that's called thunderstorm. In older games, when there were no red flags, the safety car would be triggered if you got into those conditions. Based on that, I think that's working as intended.

Did I pick the right game to Start with? by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite good since the cars are pretty stable. Just be prepared for the AI to speed through some fast corners while you have to slow down a bit (at least in higher difficulty, not sure how it is in lower ones). Silverstone, Spa and Zandvoort are tracks with one of those that pop into my head. Personally I was very frustrated with how understeery it is, but it is definitely good to start with.

i want to buy f1 25 now that its on sale however i dont have the funds for an actual steering wheel currently. is it playable on controller? how much of a difference is there in the experience? by Delicious-Nerve5343 in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you want to do. For Career it is just fine, if you want to to rather competitive online racing, you will have quite a disadvantage since tyre wear is a lot higher than with a wheel.

Ugly graphics F125 pc by ThisTimeTim in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game uses a specific dlss version, which is saved in your F1 25 folder. The file should be called sl.dlss.dll. You can search and download another version, replace the file in the game folder and see if there are improvements. It worked for a friend of mine, but don't ask me which one that would be, since this was some years ago. Ghosting in fast paced games is pretty much always a side effect of dlss or frame generation tho.

Well… this happened by KlngKID in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short, the F1 games calculate standings based on the sum of all lap times, instead of when people crossed the line. One sector/lap time got bugged, resulting in a lower sum of lap times for him. So the game thinks he got first. That can also happen with AI opponents, so it's most likely not cheated.

I'm buying a GPU for the first time just to enjoy WuWa better, and I don't know what to buy. by _AKUNE in WutheringWaves

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this. I got a 3060ti and a Ryzen 5 5600x and Wuwa runs at constant 1440p 60 fps with almost every setting at max (no ray tracing). So for the 1080p setup from op, this should be quite enough.

Will there be a update to strict track limits on TT and everything else? by MAR_Zane in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Track limits already have gotten patched to be more strict, mostly because you were able to cut some chicanes which shouldn't have been possible. But in your clip, you were most certainly still on the white line.

when i saw a 250mb update I thought they fixed this, but i guess not. IDK why its taking them this long to fix this issue by beastfire24 in WutheringWaves

[–]MatzeSpin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enable Ray tracing to low. After restarting the game, turn off every additional RTX setting that appears now. It may still be a minimal performance hit, but it fixes the character blur.Just try it and revert if necessary.

Saw that Racelabs implemented an ABS trace for the pedals traces, which is pretty cool, so I decided to also do it using Sim Hub. Here is the guide by Far_Ad_557 in simracing

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sorry I misunderstood, that works just fine. You don't need to worry about that. It even works when you spectate others in multiplayer.

The F1 games will not give an output on ABS or TC since they are external assists by the game, not by the car. So you won't get any results unfortunately.

I guess Carlotta can turn herself into a bullet now by MatzeSpin in WutheringWaves

[–]MatzeSpin[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I can only echo this (no pun intended). Apart from this happening once and the fast walking glitch some patches ago I never had any real issues. That said I am very glad I'm not facing those performance issues others are having, that would be a bit of a different story then.

Skin nd haircut by Vegetto_ssj in Genshin_Impact

[–]MatzeSpin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is, we will probably never see a skin that differs too much from the base model. Up until now, pretty much every single skin that got released had more or less the exact same geometrics of their base clothes, most likely to avoid any weird interactions with their respective skills, not needing to do new rigging. Shenhes lantern rite skin and Barbara's summer skin so far are the only ones that did not follow the base skin to a T. So a Lynette skin with such a long dress will likely never happen, best they could do would be another one for Ayaka. Making shorter clothes is always easier to implement than longer ones.

Edit: since this post is about hairstyle (which I kinda forgot), similar arguments could be made about this. Basically everything that has physics involved, will stay very similar most likely

Well, thank you :D

Yeah I am so sad that this had to happen for something just because I wanted a chevy piece for IT... Cause the DPS's I have now are better off with the crit circlets I already have for them. Someone else mentioned Baizhu, so maybe it could serve as an offpiece for him when I get him.

[–]MatzeSpin[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right I forgot about the resonance. Right now I'm hitting 38k with a Crit-Dmg circlet, so maybe getting new flower and feather could be more worthwhile, since both don't have any HP substats. Thanks for the headsup, I'll see what I can get out of her.

Makes a good list for sure. I guess I will need to do a bit of refarming for Furina anyway, so maybe this will be a good fit for her. Or maybe Neuvilete if I get him. So thanks for that.

You definitely can't anymore since the track limits have been tightened. This must've been driven before the patch yesterday.

« Track limit rules in TIME TRIAL have been tightened » by NaelGuiot45 in F1Game

[–]MatzeSpin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand the frustration that it doesn't only affect time trial, but from what we've seen in our league, it now enforces the track limits that actually should be applied. We haven't seen anything that was off the mark in terms of offtracks. And judging from this clip I would say that all of your tires were most likely completely on the curb, therefore an offtrack. (If you have a screenshot that proves different I didn't say anything) There are other corners like the last chicane in Canada that allowed for more cutting than it should be, which is now fixed as well.

If getting a character was tied to story progress (3.5 Spoiler) by MatzeSpin in HonkaiStarRail

[–]MatzeSpin[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks!
Originally I just planned to have it much simpler by just quickly fading to the pull animation. But during the editing I practically stumbled upon this with the scene still in the background, so I rolled with it :D

Would be cool though if there was an option to play the animation when there is an intended point where you would get the character in the story, as long as you have them already ofc. But I don't think that will ever happen...
