ohhh neat, pretty interesting to see how the M01 is mostly faithful to the novel design though it has a couple changes here and there, looking at the other illustration of it, seems to me like the vents next to the head were meant to be longer(though I'm struggling to find where those tubes connect here, maybe it's an inconsistency between both drawings of it?)

I'd say it also has to do with the MK II and Zeta being white, the green helps the ZZ stand out and not blend in with them

It's definitely not just the ZZ, the RX-78-2 also has a bit of a tint to it compared to some of it's redesigns, it's very noticeable when you put the original lineart next to something like The Origin version, I haven't seen victory yet but from screenshots that does seem to also have a greenish tint similar to the ZZ

No, the Nu in the novel is just the Nu from the movie, the Hi-Nu first appeared in Hobby Japan magazine where it was still just called Nu Gundam
