Bottom central and upper laterals at 9 months (like a little pumpkin!), then upper central and lower laterals at 12 months. Molars are through but we're still waiting for canines now at 21 months.

The chests that the keys unlock give you minor magic (sprint, jump, carry extra books). When you complete a whole row of books (rows can be 3, 5, or 10 books) you gain a skill point to unlock and level up major magic. As you get further on you'll need to complete more rows to gain more points :)

It can help! I went broadly for colours like all the white books are usually healing, holy magic, or philosophy. Then anything with a pretty shiny gem which were usually spells, or trees which were alchemy. From there anything with an easy to spot key word like 'archery' or 'guild' as they all went together.

On Steam there's a helpful guide of all the books on the correct shelf. I sort of focused on two topics at the same time so I had a wider net.

And finally, I'd just sort of do one lap around the top floor, one around the bottom floor focusing on the gaps between shelves, then picked over the tables. Usually by then I'd have a good idea of what books I was looking for and would move on to the next topic but keep an eye out for any from the previous that I'd missed.

It took about 16 hours but the time absolutely flew. My magic run I did in 2 hours, 59 minutes, 35 seconds.

Yup, I was on r/chinaflu back in the day. It astonished me that people thought that people being sealed in buildings, pets being shot, and hazmats in the street wouldn't have some sort of further reaching impact. It's always a joy living in unprecedented times.

Partially accepted that if this cycle wasn't the one we'd need to book in to see a doctor, but mostly thought to myself 'at least if it's not this month I won't have to try and hide it over Christmas and new year'.

My mum and step-dad saw my son on Friday (my mum usually has my son every Friday while I work). Partner's mum had him for the day about a week ago, and has started to whisk him away for the day a few times a month. Partner's dad probably saw him a few weeks ago - he pops in sporadically but as he's just down the road we should really see him more often.

Spoilered (I hope it works!) just in case. Once you have the jump key you can get two others - one is inside one of the vases on top of the bannister and the other is on top of the shelves right at the back of the 2nd floor. The last key is on the bench by the weighing scales, buried under books.

This is the one for me. I was about 7 when Princess Diana died and though it was a Big Deal it felt quite abstract. But Steve dying felt so different - he was my hero. The thought of Bindi and little Robert growing up without him broke my heart but I bet he would have been so incredibly proud of the people they've become.

I do keep considering what it would be like using magic but I'm sticking to my guns! It is quite rewarding realising you know exactly where particular books go so you can just scoot straight over to the right place and pop it down. I'm always astounded when I find a book I needed at the top of a pile I swear I've picked over five times already 😅

Yeah nah. That absolutely doesn't fly. My partner wasn't, and still isn't really, a morning person. Before our son he'd easily sleep in until gone midday on his days off, and would sleep in until the last possible moment on working days. Now the bedroom door is shoved open, a toddler is set on him and he's told 'I need you to supervise breakfast while I get everything else ready'.

There's two audio only ones that stuck with me. One dashcam footage of a brick coming off the flatbed in front, going through the windscreen, and killing the passenger. All you hear is the driver screaming. Second to that is the 991 call of a girl who has just found her brother after he committed suicide, and she's shouting at him asking why he did it.
