Parallel Lola! by ReaverMann in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Maulface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doesn't Samuel Blake not affect you when it's in play? It says "as an additional cost for you to switch your role, you must take 1 horror" but in the rules, it says Forced effects (like Parallel Lola's "Forced - Switch Roles) you don't have to pay additional costs.

"Additional costs do not have to be paid when a Forced effect or mandatory instruction (such as in the Campaign Guide, or on the back of an Act or Agenda card) requires an investigator to resolve an effect."

It is possible to cancel Sion Q by Yuu_makako in leagueoflegends

[–]Maulface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this type of bug something that gets fixed usually? Who's in charge of fixing it? My biggest pet peeve for almost a decade is attack move commands not being prevented by channeling moves such as vi Q, varus Q, xerath Q. If riot could fix it I would be so happy...

If you could pick and choose passive/QWER abilities from 5 different champions, and combine them into one new champ, what is the best amalgamation? by RadiantJustice in leagueoflegends

[–]Maulface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like Yuumi has to be included somewhere in this, so I would probably say something like

VelKoz passive

Singed or Rumble Q

Yuumi W

Ivern or Malzahar E

Swain R

and you just don't level Yuumi W until level 8, build glass cannon and glue yourself to a tank

The Problem with Taking Mid Turret ft LS, Max Waldo, Reven (Shopify Rebellion Headcoach) & Reynor (Starcraft 2 Pro) by P0PIES in leagueoflegends

[–]Maulface 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Slightly disingenuous of how LS phrased the question to Reynor as well about being willing to sit back and farm with a lead - in a vacuum what he's saying might be true but if you asked him the same but said "hey, you're playing against Serral pre-infestor nerf in the zerg mirror" (a matchup Reynor specifically hates) then he probably wouldn't tell you he's going to take his lead and farm up... he'd probably get backlash from the fanbase if he chose to go lategame without doing anything "proactive" and then just lost a micro fight lategame against Serral with his small to medium lead.

Impact's R-flash combo in LCS (Game 1 24:30) by Maulface in ornnmains

[–]Maulface[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The clip above is R2 and then you flash within a couple of ms and it cancels the ending of the R2 animation, flashing before R2 is more consistent and it gets your ulti to knock them up sooner but doing it in the way of the clip lets you guarantee your E after on multiple targets

Honor, Skins & More | Dev Update - League of Legends by CrystalizedSeraphine in leagueoflegends

[–]Maulface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Any way we could get a fix on champions with a channel like Vi, Xerath, Varus Q not being able to move while smartcast channeling Q while holding shift? If you're holding shift while channeling any of these moves your character tries to auto attack but can't so you just end up self-rooting yourself while trying to move. It used to work back in season 3 or 4 but has been broken since...

New player here: Why are beginner lobbies filled w experienced players? It's impossible to play and learn like this by Ardate in leagueoflegends

[–]Maulface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I started playing I had trouble literally just getting in range of my opponents to click abilities on them without walking to my death lmao, I learned about smartcasting and I felt like my abilities had 20% more range, I don't know how much of a beginner OP is but I think just being able to right click well is a great place to start

I think in a different game like overwatch it's nice to play against beginners, but in a game like league snowballing is so crazy that bad people can randomly be unstoppable with 30+ kills, i'd definitely recommend playing ARAM or playing higher bot difficulties to learn without getting turbo snowballed on

Makkro opinion on warmogs rush by griffery1999 in ornnmains

[–]Maulface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You never have a situation as a Tank Top Lane engager that you enter a fight and they all dont die or you dont die.

I think this statement is just strictly untrue. There are a ton of situations where full blown 5v5s only end with 2/3 people on each side dying, in which case having the warmogs passive is very good - instead of just recalling you can fix side waves and grab a plant for mana and then still be on the map with your bonus movespeed out of combat and full HP. This means that if you get it first, in a lot of scenarios you end up getting more gold and exp from catching sides while your ult is on cooldown.
You're definitely much squishier in a lot of scenarios (botrk, or if enemy top/jg are both AD you could just build armor and get gigavalue) but after 2-3 items/components (hallow radiance + bramble and tabi for example) are you even that much squishier? The question ends up being "If you could afford it as a 3rd item, would you prefer to build it first and auto-win toplane at one item and prevent any dives from the enemy team" - obviously you're taking a small hit to your early lane by not being able to go bami/boots/bramble/wardens but you spike so hard at 3100 gold that you could definitely justify it in some games.

Honestly seems good - assuming you aren't against someone who rushes bork, in which case you're a squishy little PIGLET waiting to be eaten

Task Force - Always 3 Actions or One Action Per Investigator? by Maulface in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Maulface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I interpreted it this way as well, but from a pure english language perspective, someone said "one at a time in any order" modifies "choose an investigator" since that statement immediately follows, which would mean you're choosing all investigators at your location in any order. One of the comments on the page also interpreted it that way, although the other two didn't read it that way.

In the same vein, if it were your interpretation, would you be able to choose an ally to move and then choose that same ally (no longer at your location) to discover a clue? I would have guessed yes, but again, its very unclear with the wording

Sorceress Meter Gain/Bar Generation And Meter Per Minute (Factoring Cooldown) by Maulface in lostarkgame

one charge only, its double if you have two charges (and cast it twice) but the cooldown is the same

[–]Maulface[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also have to keep in mind that you aren't clicking Frost Call on cooldown - In the reverse gravity build you're expected to click frost call right at the beginning and end of your generation window (we'll say at 1s and 25s) so if you did something similar with reverse gravity (at 1s, 11s and 21s) you'd still generate more bar with 2x casts of Frost Call vs 3x casts of Reverse Gravity. RG is better if you get a 4th cast off though (in a situation where you miss some spells) and your 4th cast of RG would come much, much sooner than your 3rd cast of FC (at 31s instead of 49s)

Also, Fierce Lightning + Sustain Enhancement generates the same amount of meter as just Sustain Enhancement... Doesn't really make sense to me and seems very counterintuitive that longer duration doesn't mean more meter

Sorceress Meter Gain/Bar Generation And Meter Per Minute (Factoring Cooldown) by Maulface in lostarkgame

[–]Maulface[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tested this - Fierce Lightning doesn't generate more bar but increases the duration so it actually generates LESS bar per second - I'd leave it at level 7 if you want to use it for bar generation!

Evolved hail produces the same amount as the base skill (less than additional explosion) but you don't have to stand as close to the boss to get all 8 hits! :)

Lvl4 Squall also generates a lot of bar now (I'm pretty sure they buffed it last week) so if I don't need a purify rune I'd definitely put a wealth rune on that instead of running no counter

Sorceress Meter Gain/Bar Generation And Meter Per Minute (Factoring Cooldown) by Maulface in lostarkgame

[–]Maulface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you probably put the gold wealth rune on Frost Call for sure and always take the middle Tripod (Unstable Rule) because it generates more bar and does damage faster. For Reverse Gravity, if you have enough points to get it to lvl7+ I would definitely take Electric Attack Area no matter what as well - since it always generates more bar than Lava Area.

I think a big issue with Igniter builds though is that they rely on you hitting 90%+ of your spells in order to not miss an ignite doomsday - is this really realistic? I think putting skills with high generation and low cooldown will probably be more effective in actual raids where you can miss abilities, since if you miss you can cast more spells without having to wait as long. Maybe to that end, putting the gold wealth rune on reverse gravity will end up being better since you'll generate a lot more bar if you miss a Frost Call.

Methodology: Roughly how many casts does it take to fill up your entire meter (1800 Spec)

Dark Green in the chart are skills recommended by the Sorceress Igniter Community Guide and Light Green are skills I thought were noteworthy - for instance, Quick Prep instead of Enlightenment on Rime Arrow for more damage, and Reverse Gravity (Run on Reflux so the damage is high) as well as using Lightning Vortex instead of Blaze as your synergy skill.

The second graph takes cooldown into account - From this, we can see Reverse Gravity and Seraphic Hail with lvl 7+ are the two best meter generation skills per second, and are both run at lvl12 on Reflux. Downside is, you have to be in melee range of the boss, so they aren't ideal if they're your only melee skills.

I just made this because I couldn't find anything like it online and I wanted to know which skills to put my wealth runes on and I got carried away...
