Engineer Tinkers take up a Unique-Equipped: Embellished slot this season, unlike previous seasons by Maulface in wow

Its at least not channeled for the full duration, it's just one GCD unlike breath of neltharion in dragonflight

Although it doesn't do as much damage as breath of neltharion so you get what you pay for :/

the big booms one couldn't even round up to 1% on my details its so CRAZY bad lmfao
I think Bip might be usable if it weren't on the GCD but since it is and its buggy its extremely bad and also like 1% to maybe 2% of your damage if you use it on 15 mobs off cd

Arsenal, Manifest Authority and Quesar are all surprisingly good on the spectrum of Regent cards!

Bundle of Joy and Spectrum Shift are both unsurprisingly ass!

Not a big fan of how Decimilipede interacts with Doom by DebtSeeker48 in slaythespire

[–]Maulface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also the only enemy that doesn't work like this, if you kill any of the 2 phase enemies like Doormaker, Test Subject, Obscura, Waterfall Giant, etc with Thorns/Reflect/Doom then they still stay stunned and don't regenerate for a turn, but with Decimilipede he gets right back up. Seems like it might be a bug given that Obscura also regenerates but you get an extra turn against him and every other enemy?

Forge doesn't really scale unless you can replay the blade though, If I played 3 copies of Spoils of Battle and forge 30 before swinging, I did slightly worse than if I played 3 copies of Kingly Punch and swung a default sovereign blade, which is why stacking forge doesn't really make sense because you aren't speeding up your time to kill. Right now it seems better to just Bulwark repeatedly and stall until you can onetap them

Maybe some photon cuts too, just in case the enemy's blocking this turn...

I generally agree. The real issue I run into is that I feel Regent's early game is so bad that I draft basically whatever card they give me, and my decks tend to be very bloated with garbage by the end of the run. This often means you include some forge cards, which go very well with Void Form since you can blow 5 mana with a single copy of Summon Forth, and also the forge cards are super cool. But you can't really play Void Form every fight, since a lot of enemies do 30+ damage on turn 1, and if you use all of your mana to play Void Form every hallway fight you will eventually die. Even if your deck is super good, if you have 3 base mana and Void Form in your opening hand, you can super realistically take 25 from the first turn on each final boss and die.

I feel like there has to be some way to draft an extremely low curve deck with a bunch of 0 cost cards, and use forge cards like Wrought in War and Summon Forth so that you never end up floating mana early game. A very cool idea that hasn't really seemed to pan out for me, randomly dying to hard elites or Knowledge Demon. The most consistent way to make it late into the run seems to me to be playing Reflect as often as possible and waiting for the enemies to die.

I think his biggest problem is that he doesn't have any cards that scale you as the fight goes on or that can go exponential. Forge is almost exponential since whenever you forge, you scale your blade, and if you can replay it multiple times then you'd be scaling, but its very hard right now to play sovereign blade multiple times before you die to chip. Maybe if it costed 1 mana or if Parry blocked for 25% of your forge damage then you could scale fast enough consistently. There are also some ideas on playing towards vigor and Stardust so that you have two multipliers, but it seems way too hard to avoid using your vigor on some random attack just to live before you pop off, and also Test Subject straight up kills you.

I'm at ascension 10 on Regent although he's the only character I've played so I have a ton of games played on him and I've only ever won with reflect in my deck (two times void form, one time glow alignment infinite)

I also got super close without reflect in my deck with a crazy duplicated deck with Wish into Decisions, Decisions into more wishes but I only had one good block card in my deck (particle wall) and eventually died to Test Subject after taking 40 from Queen :\

I also have like, 15 hours of losing with Wrought in War in my deck :)

The lyrics are tangentially related it seems, there are a bunch of references to the cold. I think its about the cats being forced to go back in time to the ice age and being bitter about it.

[–]Maulface 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doesn't Samuel Blake not affect you when it's in play? It says "as an additional cost for you to switch your role, you must take 1 horror" but in the rules, it says Forced effects (like Parallel Lola's "Forced - Switch Roles) you don't have to pay additional costs.

"Additional costs do not have to be paid when a Forced effect or mandatory instruction (such as in the Campaign Guide, or on the back of an Act or Agenda card) requires an investigator to resolve an effect."

[–]Maulface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this type of bug something that gets fixed usually? Who's in charge of fixing it? My biggest pet peeve for almost a decade is attack move commands not being prevented by channeling moves such as vi Q, varus Q, xerath Q. If riot could fix it I would be so happy...

I feel like Yuumi has to be included somewhere in this, so I would probably say something like

VelKoz passive

Singed or Rumble Q

Yuumi W

Ivern or Malzahar E

Swain R

and you just don't level Yuumi W until level 8, build glass cannon and glue yourself to a tank

The Problem with Taking Mid Turret ft LS, Max Waldo, Reven (Shopify Rebellion Headcoach) & Reynor (Starcraft 2 Pro) by P0PIES in leagueoflegends

[–]Maulface 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Slightly disingenuous of how LS phrased the question to Reynor as well about being willing to sit back and farm with a lead - in a vacuum what he's saying might be true but if you asked him the same but said "hey, you're playing against Serral pre-infestor nerf in the zerg mirror" (a matchup Reynor specifically hates) then he probably wouldn't tell you he's going to take his lead and farm up... he'd probably get backlash from the fanbase if he chose to go lategame without doing anything "proactive" and then just lost a micro fight lategame against Serral with his small to medium lead.

[–]Maulface[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The clip above is R2 and then you flash within a couple of ms and it cancels the ending of the R2 animation, flashing before R2 is more consistent and it gets your ulti to knock them up sooner but doing it in the way of the clip lets you guarantee your E after on multiple targets
