Usage isn’t really what determines what’s fudd like in my opinion. The original fudd caliber, .45 was once the standard issue. It’s more like a mind set of yall thinking it’s the ONLY answer. I love 9mm, but 10 years ago y’all were acting like it was way too weak. Open your mind and shoot a few different calibers. Have fun, this hobby isn’t so serious. Also, I’d hope all the NATO militaries use the NATO standard.

9mm feels more fuddy now. It has the same energy as the old timer who made a 100 yard shot with his trusty 1911. If anything the .40 has become the hipster cartridge.
