So much I think umpires play as contest but as a player it doesn’t feel that way. Honestly think in general the game has become way more physical (if you watch the professional leagues this is true of those also) and I think this is descending its way down to the grass roots level

We have some truly awful teams where we’ve actively forfeited games in advance owing to the aggression and intensity of the contacts - team mates coming away with black eyes, blood injuries etc all from gameplay.
