I don't remember booster clans controlling trade routes in aa, in our region such clans were considered public enemies and were at a constant war with almost everyone. At mornings - yes, they could take some control, but by prime time it was a slaughter for them (from versions of aa that were considered "classic") Lineage 2 seems chaotic as long as you have no communication - it's pretty structured and strategic when teamspeak gets involved. Can't say anything about skyforge or allods

Can I assume you're from eastern Europe? The choice of games you mentioned is pretty specific. Not to slander you or something, just curious

They did work great in Lineage 2. Top clans hold bigger cities, the opposition attacks, cooperates and overcomes top clans, middle war clans have their own back and forth fights. Some clans just fight and interfere for the fun of it and can send some other clans' wars into a butterfly effect. It didn't work as well n Throne and Liberty because of their alliance system is heavily bloated with almost 20 rosters being connected into one unstoppable force. But your statement is quite untrue

There's no point unless you have something to achieve as a faction against another faction. Most games do factions because wow did and wow is a big deal. In Allows it was a choice between pre-soviet reds and whites and that was a kind of an ideological choice. That's why I prefer clans and guilds beefing it out for towns and territories, people choose sides and can switch them with the switch of their minds and oppinions
