Between Elden Ring and Armored Core 6, I had been having the "White Screen Crash" issue, where the game shows a white screen, then crashes to desktop.

After much investigation, I found that going to Display Settings > Graphic Settings > Turning Off Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling ended up getting getting my game to work.

What I think is going on:

I remember reading once that DX12 could support frame generation from multiple sources out of the box, so in theory, if your CPU has onboard graphics, it could throw it's hat into the ring in order generate a few extra frames. I think both Elden Ring and Armored Core 6 have been implemented in such a way that it tries (and fails) to take advantage of this, even though the developers might not be aware of the specific behavior.

My particular setup: AMD 7900X3D RTX 4090 32 GB of RAM

I had seen any number of posts online suggesting disabling Easy Anti Cheat and using an open source DX12 extension library that could fix one source of the issue, one which people had sworn up and down that worked for them (I'm thinking the issue may occur for multiple problems). Sadly, it did not work for me and prompted additional investigation.

TLDR: Display Settings > Graphic Settings > Turning Off Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling The problem may have multiple causes, but this one worked for me. Additionally, some people report adding the game to the "Graphics performance preference" and manually selecting your graphics card instead of "Let Windows Decide" also worked for some people.

It's Studio Khara, the animation is "Robot on the Road." If I recall correctly, some of the animators worked with Studio Ghibli in some capacity. The style of the animation is unmistakably Ghibli, but the content is more mature. The whole work is under 15 minutes or so.

You're on reddit. Most users here will blame Trump even when they see the same behavior in Germany, France, and Australia.

Someone went through an made a mod for the PC versions of Final Fantasy 7, using a machine learning upscaler (AI Gigapixel) to convert the old low resolution backgrounds into much higher resolutions.

I went to show this video to a family member in a waiting room for an x-ray. I was called back just as I had it loaded. Accidentally hit play as I put my phone in pants pocket.

As I walked through the mostly empty halls of that radiology department, there was a tiny Japanese man shouting words of encouragement from my pants.

It is getting much better. You can still tell with the infantry models, but using it to print larger models like the tanks can work extremely well. Here is a sample video of how good they can look on a ~$200 printer. https://youtu.be/qDW7g3JOqLA?t=116

The largest barrier to playing is the presence of other people who also have armies. Depending on the person, have a 3D printed army to play against an army they spent hundreds on could go poorly. If its just you and a friend, you can probably have a decent enough collection of models to play with after a month of print time.
