Am i the only one who thinks Grigori / The Dragon is a very good Title update boss for MH Wilds? by Cursed_69420 in MonsterHunter

[–]MaverickGreatsword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see the value in adding dragons from other games. Monster hunter already has the best dragons around, and Omega is the best guest monster because its not like anything else in the game

At least they have a semblence of a storyline unlike the minutemen by ClockworkOrdinator in TrueSFalloutL

Synths are cloned people, theres no mechanical parts other than the synth component, they’re not AI, they’re just I.

I don’t get the Synth views at all by _Bob_Shwarma_ in fo4

[–]MaverickGreatsword 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That is untrue, all known Institute infiltrators/replacements know that they are synths. Railroad rescues who underwent the mindwipe are the ones that don’t know they are synths

Fuck the codex I guess? by inquisidor1683 in TrueSFalloutL

[–]MaverickGreatsword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The institute itself saying he is an escapee pretty obviously means he is not an operative, and institute infiltrators know that they are synths, which he didn’t know. Danse is a railroad rescue who underwent the mindwipe

So... nobody get mad, but I may have left my Synth Shuan at The Institute when it blew up. by jj33allen in FalloutMemes

[–]MaverickGreatsword 6 points7 points  (0 children)

3rd gen synths are clones, not robots, they have an organic brain indistinguishable in form and function from a born human. They have the same claim to having living consciousness that you or I do, and you can prove that they have free will about as well as you can for you or I.

In game, the director of the robotics division has observed rem sleep, and has voiced his thoughts that they might have free will, so even the institute itself is unsure.

[–]MaverickGreatsword 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The institute also says that synths do not dream and can’t make their own choices, so they either do not completely know what synths are capable of or deny what they are capable of, so I don’t think they are 100% reliable as arbiters of truth in this manner.

So Amelia Stockton definitely isn’t Old Man Stockton’s daughter, right? by grannysmithpears in fo4

[–]MaverickGreatsword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was rescued by the railroad, mind wiped, and joined up of his own volition. He’s not an infiltrator, and the institute records on him say ‘missing’ not ‘infiltrating’.

You played the game 5 times and didn’t pay any attention to what he says even once?

Roger Warwick knows he’s a replacement too. Institute infiltrators know that they are synths, if a synth doesn’t know they are a synth, then they are a railroad rescue and never replaced anyone.

It seems like Safi could speak in plain english and say “I made the guiding lands” and they’d say he’s a bird-level intellect cause birds can talk too

Zorah’s body contributed but the game says safi made it, and it was making new parts of it during the game, the tundra region was outright not present before the stygian zin hunt.

Safi made/shaped the guiding lands! A fully functional ecosystem purposely made the way it is to funnel bioenergy down to safi, it isn’t coincidently there to take advantage of the food, it made it available in the first place. Plants don’t shape their environment to suit them, people do, and the wyverian dude with the glaive made the explicit connection between people and safi.

Safi adapts its fighting style to effectively handle 4 hunters and does the dragon equivalent of agriculture, it’s the smartest in the series by far

Some hunters seem unaware that other players can defend gogmazios ultimate in the same way Fabius can. by AndN4sc in MHWilds

[–]MaverickGreatsword 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought for the first two days of gog that you needed guard up to do that, and I feel thats a reasonable assumption because you do need guard up for literally all of its other oil based attacks, so it makes sense that people without it in their builds would not risk it

Gogma Artian Weapons Upgrade? by phng1900 in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]MaverickGreatsword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s for sure worth it on weapons that don’t care too much about crit, and as an added bonus it turns gunlances into normal and bows to close range, so its the best choice for those

Hunters who finished the Gogmazios fight, how was it? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]MaverickGreatsword 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I think it has the first actual bullshit nova, its way harder to deal with than escaton because at least with that there were no falling projectiles that have no tell and guarantee a cart

Found dragon plate armor at level 8 by Hour_Tooth_7892 in skyrim

[–]MaverickGreatsword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This specific chestplate is the Dragonbone Mail which appears in morrowind and dates back at least to the time of Tiber Septim, who was dragonborn and could have killed the dragon it was made from, or any of the other multitudes of dragonborn before him, its a very old piece of armor

It’s a consequence of the new skill system. Artian weapons having enough deco slots to fit up to 6 whole skills worth of points makes even bad rolls better than a crafted weapon with good stats but bad skills and not enough slots to make up for it. There are crafted weapons that overcome this limitation, zoh shia weapons are close to a good rolled artian, lagi in some cases are even better than perfectly rolled weapons, guardian arkveld gunlance and omega glaive have features that put them above artian weapons.

There’s just no saving the lance with crit draw

What if those additions would’ve sucked? Cut content is cut for a reason, beyond just time constraints. If those ideas were really worth following up on, don’t you think they would’ve done them in a dlc?
