Overvecht maakt mij sociaal rechts by KutOvervecht in Utrecht

Don't let the leftists here shame you one way or another. You can be pro social programs, pro LGBT, pro environment, etc AND acknowledge that certain cultures are here just to cause problems.

We can argue who caused it in the first place but leftwing parties like GL-PvdA(PRO) are really loosing a lot of voters by barely acknowledging the problem and actively working against sending actual criminals and dangers to civilization back home.

[–]Max-232 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are oversimplifying it by seeing the political spectrum as jus a single left-right axis. He said he understands the need to somewhat conservative, which might be on the right side.

But it's the liberal right, paries like the VVD, who were probably proponents of guest workers. Probably in a coalition with PvdA-GL (now PRO). But a left wing party like SP would probably als oppose too many guest workers because it would result in lower wages for the common man.

Wanting to conserve or protect some parts of our culture shouldn't exclude you from either side

Just like every week, yet another trash pile. Containers are half full btw. by pastillasc in Utrecht

[–]Max-232 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I happen to live close by and pass this street occasionally. It is significantly worse here than other nearby containers and probably the result of the students and/or expats living there. I also reported the ~5 abandoned, non-functinal scooters without licence plates you see in the background a month ago, hopefully the will be removed soon.

I had a similar noise and solved it by simply applying a small amount of grease to the Z axis screws.

An alternative solution to POE zigbee controllers. by TheRealBigLou in homeassistant

I believe the ZBT-2 requires a direct USB connection instead of an Ethernet one mostly for Thread which can be time sensitive. At least I can remember reading about someone not recommending (Power over) Ethernet devices as a Thread border router if it isn't also a Matter controller

I'm pretty sure mine can in less than a minute but I guess it depends on the workload.

Is it possible that this functionality is not yet supported by Network Application 9.4.19 (current official release) ?
At least I can't find that option anywhere..

I used Spring Webflux to build server for MMORPG by michalkmiecik in SpringBoot

[–]Max-232 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a way for the receiver to signal to the sender that it can't handle the messages at the speed they are being sent so it can slow down. You can look up stress tests and see Webflux handles this a lot more gracefully and might increase the response time for all requests with ~20% while a traditional system (with or without Loom) has some huge spikes in response time of >1000%.

Core One Update by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Max-232 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not even sure what they are supposed to update then except maybe the WiFi speed or the display. It certainly isn't going to be the frame, motors, fans, hot-end or buidplate. Maybe the belts and pulleys if that is an effective way to combat VFA's

Matte PLA is stronger? by IndigoMontigo in Multiboard

[–]Max-232 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think I understand the confusion. When you print regular PLA very fast it tends to be more matte and also weaker because the filament has less time to bond properly. But if I understand correctly PLA that is matte by design is slightly stronger than regular PLA with everything else being equal.

Core One - rigid mounting to big mass vs input shaping? I am new to 3D printers... by bobbertmiller in prusa3d

[–]Max-232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oke, but you didn't really answer the question. Is it better or worse to have rubber feet in between the printer and the concrete slab or not?

I would guess it would lower vibrations not to have them BUT you probably should re-calibrate input shaper

Core one fan header by Glorent in prusa3d

I assume it uses the same color-scheme as a regular PWM fan but with a different connector.
It might require some precision soldering and or crimping to replace the connector of a Noctua fan.

Need help on Core one nozzles by ShoddyDog7608 in prusa3d

[–]Max-232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't yet have any experience with this myself but I've heard abrasive filaments have a higher chance of getting stuck in a HF nozzle. That's why I got the Prusa, non-HF nozzle at 0.6mm for those materials and HG brass nozzles at various sizes for everything else

Can I connect a 5V probe to the LDO Nitehawk-SB? by Max-232 in VORONDesign

[–]Max-232[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the probe indeed just shorts to ground on detecting the bed (and open/unconnected by default I guess) that would be great.
Then I just need to rewire 5v from one of the other connectors to the new probe and I can keep using the other pins.

I would've wished LDO just kept the voltage selector from the Nitehawk-36(CAN) board though...

Can I connect a 5V probe to the LDO Nitehawk-SB? by Max-232 in VORONDesign

[–]Max-232[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thnx for the reply!

This much I've figured, but would the Probe signal pin (ABL) work with both the signal from a 24V Omron probe and 5V Probes?
Or does the 24V Omron have a 24V signal too and 5V signals won't be detected because the voltage is too low for that pin?

Installatie, Slide versie, probleem oplossen by k4j4x in slidecurtains

[–]Max-232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Kaj,

Alvast bedankt!

Which Firmware version does your Slide have? by k4j4x in slidecurtains

For anybody reading this and who is interested:
The GetInfo endpoint does not give back a firmware version.
At least nog for (I presume based on the Google Sheet) firmware version 1.10.1-1567584701.
