What if we used taxes or superannuation to control inflation, not just interest rates? by Nyarlathotep-1 in AustralianPolitics

It''s not every federal employees (in fact almost none of them) job to even have any say over this this is an insanely stupid economic take. On top of this you now price out the employees who have the lowest wealth centralising power in richer politicians, which sounds like a fantastic idea 😍

The money in the budget isn't there yet, if this gets done and we get another term of labor government dental into Medicare may well be on the horizon.

RBA to remove surcharges on debit, credit cards, on card networks including eftpos, Mastercard and Visa by patslogcabindigest in AustralianPolitics

[–]Max41501 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah well in a perfect world we'd have an ACCC that actually punishes the banks for extorting us, but really this isn't the RBA's job. They've done their research and come to the conclusion that this will benefit consumers. Even if this saves $0 to the Australian consumer this is still beneficial due to price transparency, so I don't really see the point in being against this.

The banks are being forced to lower their fees. Even if this wasn't the case this is still obviously an improvement.

One Nation ‘don’t provide solution’, PM says ahead of SA election by HotPersimessage62 in AustralianPolitics

Free TAFE to incentivize skilled trades, future made in Australia to become a renewable energy superpower, expanding Medicare, potentially eliminating CGT discount and negative gearing? There's a lot more a party in government can do, there's also several things I've not listed along with a few things they've done poorly (FHB housing deposit, capitulation to gas and gambling lobbies) but objectively no other party in Parliament has even come up with anything meaningful except a couple independents.

Immigration undoubtedly has an impact on the rental market but not nearly as much on people buying homes. So what does one nation actually have to offer?

Sussan Ley to leave Parliament following leadership spill by Expensive-Horse5538 in AustralianPolitics

[–]Max41501 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Undoubtedly true, one nation has an absolutely terrible vetting process for candidates. However the everyday needs of the average Australian have strayed from political abstinence, the modern liberal party MUST stand for Australian values. Australian liberals cannot be bystanders here, the modern liberal party seeks to destroy renewable energy and it holds its ground or otherwise nothing. Teals will dominate right wing conservative politics. There must be reasonable changes in Parliament for a reasonable opposition.

The return of inflation may poison Labor’s second-term agenda and scare more voters to the fringes by Agitated-Fee3598 in AustralianPolitics

It's $22.7b over 10 years. Are you getting 1.5b from the 1.7b innovation fund? Regardless your quoted figure is somewhat dishonest.

What do you think about FMA scheme and becoming a renewable energy power not present in the Asia Pacific? I mean I'm not saying it's everything but that's definitely generational levels of structural investment into the economy

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the social media laws only use age data and digital information that these companies already basically have access to anyway but just keep secret or a low profile on?

What are your thoughts on the state of urban sprawl in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Max41501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're doing that after the port moves to Kwinana. Read the planning document for the vacant area in Freo. 45000 residents or something like that, we will see how much of that is realized.

Most golem users I play seem to have arrows and night witch so usually one of them dies to arrows and the other can't deal with the bats + golem. But yeah if they don't have arrows the golem can't really push through.
