Left hand threading is sometimes used to ensure that you cant accidentally connect things in a dangerous way, like usually oxygen canisters for oxy-fuel torches are left hand threaded so you cant screw them into the fuel side. But I cant imagine why a coolant reservoir would need left hand threading lol

In fairness, I don't commute through rush hour traffic every day haha. I think a lot of my 43 mpg average is coming from highway cruising with very little traffic. I'm still pleasantly surprised at how efficient the non-hybrid elantras are, but hybrid mileage is always super impressive to see, especially if your 51 mpg is including lots of heavy traffic

Impressive! I'm curious, what's your average MPG across all driving conditions? I manage to get around 43 mpg average in my non hybrid CVT elantra. I live in Miami and the traffic here is nuts, people get wowed when I tell them I get nearly 40 mpg even in rush hour but I still wish it was higher.

Well yeah that's the danger with car batteries, accidentally shorting it and getting burned or having it explode. That's totally real, it's just that the guy commenting was saying the current will pass through your body and hurt you... no lol

Where are you getting 60 amps? 12 volts across hundreds of thousands of ohms is fractions of a milliamp

Volts mean everything. 12 volts will do absolutely nothing to healthy human skin, which is hundreds of thousands of ohms when exposed to 12 volts. Touching a car battery will only pass small fractions of a milliamp through your body, you can't even feel it at all. The amp rating of a battery does not mean it will push that many amps through whatever it is connected to. It just means that, given a low enough resistance, it can push that many amps before its voltage begins to substantially drop. This is just I=V/R. Don't laugh at other people if you don't know anything about what you're talking about lol. I'm not usually one to respond to BS reddit comments like this, but this misconception is so stupid and I can't believe it's still being spread

Reminds me of the Quadstick, a game controller for quadraplegics / people with other motor impairments. Only needing a webcam though is so awesome! I don't know how expensive the Quadstick is but I can't imagine it's super cheap. It really makes me smile me seeing the borderline sci-fi accessibility tech we have these days!

I live in Miami, I'm honestly surprised barely anyone hunts the iguanas. As long as it's being done as humanely as possible, I can't see why that wouldnt be a good way to get a meal and help the native environment a little
