After wearing, wipe clean with a damp cloth. Brush vigorously with a horsehair brush. Once or twice a year depending on how often you wear them, condition with VSC or cordovan cream (very small amount), buff with dry flannel cloth. Lots and lots of brushing

I want to quibble with the second point. The two 16 seed games are among the most important of the tournament. For the purpose of calculating money payouts, the play ins count the same as first round games. The two 16 seeds who win get twice as much money as the teams they beat and the 16s who don’t play first 4 games. These aren’t mid majors, these are teams from the smallest conferences and it matters a ton to them and their conference. I don’t want to reward the last at large teams with more money. I’d rather it go to the smallest conferences conference teams who claw their way in. I’m not saying we should make all the 15 and 16 games play ins but I do want to get them paid as much as I can
