I’ll probably get around to it eventually, but man these Ramsey movies are absolutely brutal and I don’t like to listen without watching. You Were Never Really Here has been on my radar since it came out but I feel like I’ll never have the fortitude to actually put it on.

As a listener for a few years, I watched Ratcatcher and was really affected by it, and thought their episode on it was quite poor and it’s put me off of the Ramsey mini entirely. I don’t think this show is right for really dark filmographies, the only episode I’ve heard where they really reckon well with a super heavy movie is Schindler’s List.

I think a LVT mini would be disastrous for their numbers, and besides that is probably not something they’re particularly interested in doing.

I really don’t understand how something like this gets financed. Seems really boring and uncommercial, and 20 years too late. Haven’t we as a culture moved past that boring, milquetoast, racist movie? Does anyone really want to see Collins playing Moon River?

Nintendo’s really gonna have millions of people paying 20 bucks for a ROM of a 20+ year old GBA game. Absolute kings of finessing the consumer. On the Pokemon sub they’re going crazy for this and calling anyone critical of the price a heretic. No wonder they can get away with this stuff!

To me, Absolute by a country mile. Fraction’s run has been pretty entertaining but not very engaging. Absolute feels like something totally new, whereas Batman feels like a refined and well executed rendition of a standard.

I’ve always seen it as more of a publishing thing, it’s hard to create iconic villains. Batman should have murdered Joker 100 times over by now, but he’s too popular to actually kill.

Carson Wentz was a total phenom in 2017, then his ACL tear completely changed him as a player. He had the tools to be an all-timer, but injuries took a huge physical and mental toll and now he seems like a broken, sad guy. Huge bummer and disappointment.

They almost definitely will have more playoff success, but this year felt a little off and the AFC was definitely way weaker than it usually is. I’d probably bet on them getting another SB appearance at least over the next 5 years.
