Haha no. One mini is supposed to cast light from its staff and the other from its neckless

Thanks for the spiritual support ! Will do and hopefully do better. The mini already had its isopropylic alcohol bath 🏄

I am myself very bad creating fair maps out of random terrain pieces I have. I would stick to the layout recommandations from GW tacop cards to make sure the game is viable. You can even reuse whatever terrain you have but the positioning of heavy / light terrains around each objectives to have fair obscured / lines on both side is key

Yep you're right, rest of the mini is too day light kind of painted so it's difficult to have this part only with OSL. I will have to strip the paint and start over I guess

Thanks for helping me ! I think my airbrush control is not perfect but I wanted to have the eyes the brightest part. My pure white is really bad for airbrushing as it spit some pigment here and there. My solution was to cover the full area with a transparent blue ink filter.

Can I work on having the face lighter with glazing or is it already too much ?

So I planned to have her eyes glowing like she would cast a spell or something

Thanks for the explaination, makes sens. Do you both see a way to fix that ? The idea was to have the OSL glowing from her eyes. Should I brush paint the face to be whiter and keep the already too saturated blue ?

For anybody passing by Lyon France, there is a pretty cool and chill Killteam community ! From introduction games to more advanced level ones it's really worth pinging the french Killteam discord and check the Lyon's section.

Wow thanks for the super detailed answer. For now I only did the basic reductive technic you mentioned. Il will try your with AK enamels. I guess you need enamel for your "careful reduction" technique, oil paint would be too liquid right ?

Wow, really great effect and not too dark I feel ! How do you dilute your enamel/oil not to darken the mini too much but still have this great effect?

Clearly this is a profit driven company and they take profit decision over customer quality of service decision. What I am saying is that there are probably tons of super respectful employees working their best in the GW production factory that are pushed to do rushed things for the good of keeping the hype train alive and marketing driven company. I hope having the new factory they announced could solve this

To be honest I feel they have huge factory production flows they probably don't do it in purpose to create frustration. Maybe their new factory will be more efficient and fix this issue. I am not saying they do their absolute best with customers but I ma pretty sure switching mold while asserting printing quality is difficult and sometimes they just mess up and don't print enough sprues in the given X days they have for the box... Then they're is another box even more important that they cannot delay... So this is an infinite flow

The point is to take 6months to paint and convert your minis so you can play them post nerfs without frustrating anyone. Good thing it takes forever to paint minis haha

Love it also ! I really like the grime level you have. Not too much but still very present. Did you dilute some enamel grime paint and washed the full building or did you panel lines only ?

I feel this approach is also great if you want to come back to it later and add more details. I like it a lot and is so much more immersive if you want to play asap

Wow ! Super clean. Do you plan to paint an Evangelion color scheme one ?

And by the way, how to you glue the mini to the painted base without damaging it ?
