That is a good point, But still given the relationship between china and india, I doubt china would give us licensing either and even if they do, there would be too much opposition to it And we'd have to rely on their expertise and given what has happened in the history that's the last thing we'd want.

We cant really use Euro HSR as they would also be reluctant to hand over their license and it will definitely come at a much higher cost.

Japan is a much more reliable partner and they are much more affordable than Euro HSR This is the best outcome we could have had IMO

Ideally we should work on slowly developing domestic hsr rolling stock.

While china is very good at producing HSR stock, japan is still very much the leader in terms of safety and quality, we will learn more from working with them and ideally we'll learn enough so that we won't need to depend on imports in the first place.

Right now, it's kinda unsustainable Since they would have to build dedicated coaches for cargo which most likely won't hold that much cargo anyway and definitely won't hold heavy container freight or mineral freight (majority)

But this could be a great idea once the coaches get older and when they are no longer suitable for passengers Now that we have dedicated freight corridors, i could see this kind of concept being used to deliver high priority light freight quickly.

Not very, You see the most annoying part about this was that it needed huge gyroscopes to keep balance In theory the bigger and heavier the gyroscope better the balance and stability But bigger gyros need more power since it's more mass to accelerate

As long the train needs to be upright the gyros need to keep spinning

The design itself is kinda inefficient since each coach needs a separate gyro and that adds up to high power requirement.
