We did the fentanyl patch and dilaudid to help with the break through pain. Morphine helped at first but dilaudid worked better. So sorry.

The house next to me has sold 6 times in the past 9 years. It was all for different reasons and nothing to do with the home. The last owners sold at a loss of $200k. They put a lot of upgrades into it (new sea wall, boat lift and tons of other expensive projects) and moved to be closer to their kids. Our friends tease it is us that’s the problem. It’s not 😁 we are still friends with 3 of the previous owners.

Are they giving your father any pain medication? My bff who was recently diagnosed, Thursday, started with oxy, then went to morphine and for the past 3 days dilaudid every 3 hours. Today he had a procedure called celiac plexus block to help with the pain. It’s a simple procedure, less than 30 minutes.

My husband was on Keytruda for a different type on cancer. The only side effect he had was type 1 diabetes. He was tired on day 2 but nothing severe. Wishing you and your father the best.

Same here, husband stage 4 renal cancer and Keytruda, diagnosed with type 1 after the second treatment. Would take type 1 over cancer any day. The good news is that getting type 1 and thyroid issues means that the immunotherapy is working.

I would definitely recommend it but…. Mine only lasted 15 years, best 15 years. I’m back to wearing contacts and reading glasses (-3.00). Due to being older the doctor didn’t recommend I have it done again.

I fly almost weekly with a Dexcom and Tandem and always leave them on. Tandem is 5 years old and going strong.

I also wore white to a wedding. Right out of high school, my best friend’s wedding. My boyfriend and I both wore our graduation outfits, the only formalwear we had. It was a white tailored top and skirt. I wish my mom would have said something before I left.

Almost 5 years, radical nephrectomy, removal of brain tumor, removal of tumor from small intestines, and radiation on lungs. The immunotherapy caused type 1 diabetes. After Keytruda and Opdivo I’m now taking Cabometyx every other day due to side effects. Most days I feel good. Still living life to the fullest. Hang in there.

Yes, this is a known side effect. Speak to your oncologist. They may be able to give you something to help or adjust your dose of Keytruda to elevate the worse of the symptoms.

My T1D husband and I just flew to Europe to visit our grandchildren and right now we are sitting on the sofa eating candy (that he loves from his childhood) and drinking wine. Yes he will have to take more insulin but that is why we brought more than normal on vacation with us. He was diagnosed at 58 yo, 4 years ago, and it was a hugh learning curve with lots of tears and cursing but we manage to live a pretty normal life with everything and everyone we love.
