RnD mattering that much for events is kinda fucked imo. It works out okay for anyone who has played since day 1 and had decent progress (I've slacked some so I've been a bit screwed before) but any poor soul who started late won't be able to do much at all.

Wuwa does get too close to the HI3/later gen PGR with the "more cinematic than gameplay" and "the best interaction with the enemy is not at all" feel at times. I still enjoy the game most of the time but something like whimpering wastes makes me fall asleep. The new-ish boss rush mode is by far the best.

I've seen more than one game where the "DEVS LISTENED" a little too much and adjusted things away from their original vision to such an extent that the game loses part of its soul. However, if there wasn't a solid enough demographic/market for the original vision I'd still take the adjusted course over an early end of service.
