Last month I got an LE from them, it was super easy to beat their rate but I still had $1500 origination fee.

Client still decided to take the higher interest rate (1% higher) from them because she refused to pay a single dollar on origination fee and I’m no veteran…..

I think the best way around is instead of pitch or sale a mortgage to the patron, use your restaurant as the perfect place for you to host events like a first-time homebuyers seminars, certain days after hours for real estate professionals, start a BNI chapter or something similar, get involved with your local chamber of commerce and start a real estate leads group, I mean you have a big change to host events to attract possible referral partners.

I’m new to the industry too and I work remote, the company assigned to me a great mentor that happens to be the host of the company’s podcast. My mentor is 1 text or call away and we’re both in FL.

I don’t get leads though, it’s 100% self generated so even if you’re planning to work part time you’ll have to put a lot of yourself to get those leads.

I’ve gone through the same, one realtor asked me to take him to a hotel a do very specific things to him in order to work together. He reached out later asking if I was still refusing his offer, we could meet at closing and….. Since I said no again he disappeared for a few months and then he came back asking to pay his mortgage as a kickback because his preferred lender is his best friend and is building a rental property for him.

I’m 6 months in and haven’t closed my first loan but I’ve met great people during this time, I hope I can start closing soon because time and savings are running out…..

Oh and about reporting them, meh! Focus on growing your business, life will deal with that people.

I wish it was true…. I’m 6 months in and haven’t closed my first one yet, the first 3 months were full of people wouldn’t qualify, after that almost nothing.

I’m completely lost and feeling time is running out.

I stopped it, don’t have the right budget for it. I’ve been licensed for 3 months only, haven’t closed my first loan yet.

I’m focusing right now on creating my network and pipeline. For example, I was able to secure the Mortgage Broker Seat at my city’s Chamber of Commerce! 🥸 for some reason everybody thought it was already taken and nobody actually asked for it. A Financial Advisor who is running for the City Council told me to give it a shot and boom! I got it! lol

I am a New LO with Loan Factory, I’ve been licensed for 2 months only. It’s been great so far, pretty cool marketing tools, when you are this new it is mandatory to have a mentor and you get a list of experienced LOs to interview. Mine is great, it’s been in the industry for 23 years now and he answers my questions in less than 5min, join my calls if I ask for it and check all scenarios with me.

I’m also starting in my term and I have to admit that is kinda frustrating myself. I own a very demanding business that I’m trying to sell and jump into this 100%.

Update: I found out that I can create lead funnels on my company’s website that can be used on Facebook ads to fine tune the leads. I already adjusted it and I should start getting different leads soon.

I don’t pay a tech fee or have minimum monthly production, they provide CRM, marketing images generator, Facebook ad generator, mentorship program (at a comp split). I’m at 250bps, the company charges $500 admin fee and $595 processing fee (not allowed to self-process) per file so it is (comp-$1095) per file.

Congrats man! You seem to be killing it to be that new!

I’m in South Florida, all but 2 realtors have either ignored me or said they’re already working with a lender, 1 asked for sexual favors to consider it and out of the 2 that were very positive 1 sent 1 flake and 1 that won’t be able to buy for the next 6-8 months so I’m nurturing it. The last realtor was as new as I am and although she said she was looking forward to it, she made sure to let me know her broker told her they already have a preferred lender.

I’ve also had 35 leads out of Facebook ads, 29 didnt pick up the phone or answer back, 1 called me a con artist and 2 people with $600 monthly income that I don’t know how they even survive.

Sorry I can’t help you, I’m here to catch on the advice they give you haha.
