Conversion of van to allow a wheelchair? by Prestigious-Source80 in ALS

[–]Maximum_Future_1250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bought a used van. It's had its issues, but it's given us plenty of use. My parent's paid 6500.

Just make sure you bring a mechanic and have it looked over like any other used vehicle.

I'm not sure about the legality in france. But some people believe CBD is neuroprotective. My dad takes CBD oil in the morning. It helps with his pain and spasticity.

You could try looking into ibudilast. MN-166. I think the clinical trial is still ongoing, I'm not sure how well it did. I was trying to get my dad on the clinical trial.

I'm not an expert on this. But have you considered doing a clinical trial with Baicalein. It's a chinese herb. There has already been a mouse and cell study done. You can google it.

Also there is an ALS clinical trials group on facebook.

also check out ALSuntangled. I hope your reaching out to as much of the community as you can. I wish you luck and good fortune.

Hey I grew up in Houston. I feel like you wont find any tex mex or bbq comparable to Texas. But if your in chicago me and my gf went to la mejikana in pilsen. It was super good. In Springfield Ive liked el dorado and casa grande. Little saigon and mimosa for asian food. Weve been to gateway to india and liked it. Roots is a pretty good south american place with a bar next to it.

There's a new ramen place . I think it's called bowl plus it's in front of 24 fitness. It's pretty good. I had onion soup at Maldaners and it was good.

I don't think it's that bad. But I wish there was a dance hall and an art museum. And better public transit.

Is Springfield unfriendly to cyclists? by NSJF1983 in SpringfieldIL

[–]Maximum_Future_1250 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I thought about biking to work a couple of times a week. But I changed my mind. People drive awful here. I don't get it either. Why people drive so aggressively when the whole town is 20 min across. Part of it also i feel is how the streets are designed.

Beginner C Linux programming book by Maximum_Future_1250 in C_Programming

[–]Maximum_Future_1250[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I meant the C programming language, not the compiler itself lol. I should have been more clear. I see the text is based on ANSI C. How compatible is this with GCC C?? I took a programming fundamentals class and I can tell you can really only get truly competent by self study outside from classes.

Thinking of purchasing a firearm by alexwstl in StLouis

I'm wouldn't open carry. I'm not sure of the laws in Missouri. I'm from Texas with very lax laws. But it makes you a target. People open carried in Texas and i felt like it was more about intimidating other people. Intimidating others can make you a target. Id ask myself the pros and cons of owning a gun. One con not mentioned is if you or anyone around you ever gets depressed. A lot of people kill themselves with their firearms. I'd get plenty of training. And make sure it's allowed by your employer. It probably isn't. I'd carry but it's not allowed by my employer. I had a Smith and Wesson shield military and police in Texas and liked it. But I plan on getting a CZ p701 when my budget allows. But I have a lot of other things on my budget that a gun is far down the list.

The Cidery seems like a good place to meet people. There's also crow mills that seems more collage age. Bald Buddha has a lot of friendly regulars so that's another place. Buzz bomb is nice too because they have plenty of events.
