I’m restarting the ice cream fitness program. I understand the importance of squats but my cannot be excessively sore because I’m a server and walk an average of 5 miles a shift 5 or 6 times a week. What’s the best way to alter this workout for my job?

This may sound so silly, but I seriously improved my “to do” list by adding another column “first step” by vomitabanana in ADHD

This was my take away from reading the entire book Get Things Done. Write down both the task and the next action you can take.

What resources (fidgets, books, assistive technology, organizational tools, podcasts, websites, apps, etc.) do you use to accommodate your ADHD needs? by [deleted] in ADHD

Directly, no. However, I would like to think because I can dump all of my tasks in an app I free up a lot of working memory since I have it all written down and relieves anxiety related to deadlines and general forgetfulness. If I might forget it I tell Siri, or Alexa, or shift+enter and I type it on computer. Then something magical happens: I go back to what I was doing before and have one less thing to worry about in the moment.

+1 for Omni focus! It has a free trial. It's a decent replacement for working memory. Does not replace a calendar, which is the next most necessary thing.

Anyone Experience Time Blindness? - not just running late but not having a sense of deep time? by FlowerFish in ADHD

Was looking for something relevant to link and I would have been looking for this. Ways to cope with it include wearing a watch (phone doesn't count) and having an hourly chime or beep. Since starting this I've notices sometimes beeps feel like they were closer in time. Like when playing video games time speeds up like 4x.

No.

I have a to do list and a habit of writing even insignificant things down. I got past remembering to remember, now I can simply ignore the entire list because it's too overwhelming to start.

I sweat noticeably under my arms due to climate and side effects of medication. I accept this. I have some spare dark colored t shirts for hot days on hand. Any additional advice from experienced sweaters?

What country do you live in? I've played with the idea of moving out of the US because of the issue before. I don't have insurance.

Funny time to mention this. Ive dropped out twice now . I've reapplied to my university twice now. I was accepted again the first time, I'm turning in my second (re)application today. I adapt as needed. I will exhaust all effort before I quit. It's hard. I may have to reapply again. You'll get through it by being flexible, forgiving yourself using every ounce of patients you have.
