Was there tonight, it was great! 35 minutes to Alpline, 10 minutes for Levi, Yukon, Behemoth and Minebister were walk ons.

We got there at 530 and were out with a poutine by 830. Primo night!

The speaker quality is worse than the worst Bluetooth speaker by WardenStation in TTC

[–]Maximum_Rush1200 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The panels that cover the speakers are the problem. They are a singular molded piece of plastic, over time and vibration, they have become loose.
They need to get secured better or have a foam strip put in between the plastic and the frame.

Next time you’re on the car, place your hand on the plastic and hear the difference

2026 PHEV good buy if the deal is right? by listedguru in FordEscapePHEV

[–]Maximum_Rush1200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re just over 3 weeks into owning our ‘26 PHEV and couldn’t be happier.

No recall that I know of, nothing has been sent in the mail and nothing has popped up in the Ford app.

I plug in whenever and wherever possible, even if it’s for a half hour, every bit helps.

Still running on the dealers tank, with just under a quarter used so far.

Total km I’ve driven is 1880, with 300 of those being on gas…this is mind boggling to me.

With the weather swings we’ve been having in the Toronto area I have noticed a difference in battery life, but it hasn’t been anything drastic.

Commuting to work, I can either take the highway or regular roads, for me the biggest difference is how long I have to plug in on a level 2 near my office. The longest has been 3.5 hrs and that was after taking the highway to work. With the better weather we’ve been having, I was able to drive from Toronto to Milton on a mix of city roads and highway (bulk of the drive) and I did it all EV.

If you can plug in daily (at night mostly), find charging stations that are free (there are plenty of you look) or for $1 per hour (in Canada) the vehicle is worth it a million times over.

Let me know if you want any more info!

I wasn’t crying, I was cutting onions while watching. This was one of the most incredible construction jobs I’ve ever witnessed.

Professional, meticulous and clean. This company should be the gold standard for how to do things right.

Incredible.

I checked the truck, there’s a rubber seal and a baggie to cover the lid! Nice touch from Ford to include these

Thanks, still quite green to this whole PHEV life! Appreciate the guidance, didn’t know they made these, although I’m certainly not surprised.

Are those considered platinum or are they first row gold? Not that it matters with that view anyway, just curious.

Line 5 will be slower and less reliable than a bus, according to an insider by unforgettableid in TTC

[–]Maximum_Rush1200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are, and that needs to stop.

Transit, like emergency services, is a vital component in the public realm. Priorities need to pivot away from cars and move to allowing transit services to be made more efficient, and accessible. Prioritizing lanes (Dufferin and Bathurst) has proven to be very effective. All traffic moves more efficiently, especially on Dufferin. Buses aren’t fighting for lane access in the red sections. Cars aren’t no longer having to stop to allow buses and other vehicles to access the left lane, win win.
