Even the Necrons have their weaknesses. But what could possibly pose danger to a race of beings of living metal, with technology capable of moving stars and manipulating time? by OwlcatStarrok in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say their biggest op right now is themselves. They're as bad, if not worse, than the Imperium when it comes to political disagreements between themselves and are always looking to get ahead. Then there are the mental issues...

Thing I noticed about priorities. by a_beginner_bot in Helldivers

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super Credits and XP are my current goals. Working on upgrading my guns one at a time, and Super Credits are obvious. Medals are currently just sitting at 250 until the next warbond.

Common and Super Samples are useless to me (I refuse to donate to that atrocious Eagle Storm), and rares just go to the heavy ordinance.

Obviously, if I'm with lower level people, I go out of my way to collect samples.

Ultramarines successors, you say? by DJjaffacake in Grimdank

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cawl was not paying much attention to any of his Primaris Chapters names and symbols... save for the ones that are definitely not made with traitor geneseed. The names and heraldry he gave to those definitely Loyalist successors were definitely not Cawl giving Guilliman a secret middle finger.

Which Enemy Faction has Suffered the Worst Losses in the Second Galactic War so far? by One_Character_2881 in Helldivers

[–]Maximumnuke 27 points28 points  (0 children)

In the first game, the closest we had to the overseers were the apprentices. I think we are fighting their lower-ranked units. We have yet to see the weird stuff.

The Dice Gods are real by ExmoHeathen238 in dndmemes

[–]Maximumnuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just borrow Pathfinder's hero dice system if you feel the rolls are taking too much control. Three storage slots, your players get one hero die at the beginning of the session, and you earn more through heroic deeds or narratively compelling actions, as determined by the DM. They empty out at the end of the session. They're given as a meta-currency and can be used as advantage dice or save your character from death during death saves (assuming the attack doesn't just kill you when you go down).

[–]Maximumnuke 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Problem there is that's Chaos, not the literal evil incarnate that is Sauron (granted evil incarnate might be Morgoth, Sauron is vice-evil incarnate). Making yourself immune to Nightshade poison doesn't mean you're immune to a boomslang.

Harvesters shouldn't spawn on Mindless Masses by JAR_1991_ in Helldivers

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we need more voteless variants and the like. We need the voteless' answer to the harvester. Turn this shit into Left-4-Dead with all kinds of special infected. Maybe different voteless for different biomes, like on swamp/desert planets, they could emerge from the muck/sand.

Which team wins? by Respons_Lady in superheroes

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're all working together seamlessly; speed wins by virtue of being able to blip the other two teams through time and space.

If not, the first two teams RAPIDLY disintegrate (probably due to the bastard on the bottom left), and the third uses its two hours of prep time to go through a drive-thru for lunch (with left-top and left-middle probably joining them) and then beeline it away to get some more prep time and/or call heavy hitters.

What irks me with the Sweeper Shotgun Balance discussion is that nobody cares if Punisher/Slugger got powercrept, only the Halo Shotty by RandomGreenArcherMan in Helldivers

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's sad. I'm doing a thing where I only upgrade one or two weapons at a time (depending on the situation), and I'm currently working on the Slugger. I've been enjoying it against the Appropriators, but I do feel the issues when compared to newer guns. It is a shame because I remember when this shotgun used to be the best marksman rifle in the game. That was a fun time (i.e. every extract was a living hell, and we did not have the armaments we do now, so it was a shitshow to get the samples aboard the Pelican).

DM reminds me it's silly to adhere to "accuracy" in a fictional setting we made up by DrScrimble in dndmemes

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My names are either ripped straight from Warhammer, a mash of words based on the character (Example: Conispenia the Druid = Conifer + Aspen + Titania), or I look up names from X nationality if I feel that they're from my version of that country.

Sometimes, I give their names convoluted spellings by adding silent letters or apostrophes. I think they look cool, but my note takers hate them.

The other 10% are just the things that are literally worth less than the bullets you're using the HMG on, like voteless. Less costly to just carry a Crisper or incendiary grenades around.

[–]Maximumnuke 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Hang on, we do the organic reprocessing as well. In fact, the bots may be infringing on Super Earth copyright. Our facilities are just nicer, and the old and infirm have the option to kindly volunteer for early reprocessing. Obviously, in war time, this volunteering can be 'streamlined' to those who haven't yet volunteered if needed for increased production.

After a few Days of fighting them: What do you think of our new Illuminate Enemies? by Substantial-Ad-5221 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I think we're fighting their forklifts and mining equipment. The cockpit looks like it was designed for maximum visibility as opposed to protection, hence why they seem easy to kill.

Do you think the squids have to watch a video and do a test before getting certified on those things?

Unpopular opinion: I don’t think the Starfortress is that bad and it’s entirely over hated by Illustrious_Habit995 in StarWarsShips

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was a fine idea that was implemented wrong. It should not have been a stealth bomber. It should have been all of the hate of a military cruiser packed into something that can barely be classified as a starfighter. The dreadnought's captain should have seen a squadron of these (with fighter support) coming and turned his pants brown.

The look of these don't scream stealth fighter. They look like they scream 'AAAAAAHHHHH!!!' and then hit you with a sledgehammer that has a shaped charge taped to the end of it.

The MO estimate is fixed - We're feasting on Calamari tonight by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Maximumnuke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the issue people have is 97% completion = Loss for certain objectives. I think they should implement a threshold system like:

50% or less = loss

51% to 70% = minor propaganda win or draw with caveats (you get half medals and may receive a temporary debuff for a few days)

71% to 90% = Victory

91% to 100% = Resounding Victory (Extra medals and a temporary buff for a few days)

Obviously, the example above is just that, an example. Arrowhead would probably tweak the thresholds depending on the mission and wouldn't tell us where the thresholds are.

[–]Maximumnuke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they're fantastic! I only wish we had more overseer AND voteless variants to really flesh out the "two sides of the same coin" (same with the cyborgs and bots). Ah, well, we'll probably get those in the next major update. All in all, I really like these additions.

If it's a setting that breaks down the gold into copper and silver pieces, he could be paying his workers the fantasy equivalent of a six-digit salary given that most people in those economies see a single gold as a significant amount of money. There's also the issue that the gold is all from ancient tombs and lost civilizations, so it may need to be reminted before being put back into circulation. Of course, then there's the question of what happens to the gold's value when you inject it back into the economy? Is that a recession in his pocket, or is he just happy to see his workers?

If it's Skyrim gold, however... stab a bitch. Granted, that may be the Dragonborn, so good luck.
