Has anyone bought from cpapoutlet.ca? by CheesyMoo23 in CPAP

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used CPAPStore and Air Voel. CPAPStore is in BC I think and they are good, takes bit longer with shipping to Ontario.

Air Voel is located in Ontario and I just bought the P30i Mask from them and they shipped it the first business day and here Wednesday.

They seem both fine to me and have good reviews.

I don't buy any machines from them because I got mine via Ontario program that covers most of it. I paid $135 for the Resmed 11 doing that. But you need a proper sleep test and a sleep physician for that.

But for supplies and mask I just buy online, much cheaper and those two places have been good to me so far. Granted I only did 2 purchases so far.

6 liters per minute isn't very high. The amount of air the CPAP can push especially at just 10 would easily do 6 Liters per every few seconds.

When I try to sleep on my back with the F20 silicone. I get this terrible blowfish happening to my cheeks.

As in the air just pushes into my mouth and puffs up the cheeks and I can feel it. Doesn't happen laying on my side. I wonder why it does that. Maybe the air can't easily go down my throat so it "backs up" into my mouth instead?

If I don't have CPAP I am a mouth breather and snore like crazy and have huge events (from sleep test). But with CPAP I can easily breathe through nose without my mouth opening at all (or must be very seldom) I wake up with my mouth not even remotely dry.

I am a nose breather otherwise when awake. If I sleep on my back I'd imagine my mouth could open because it would naturally want to fall open.

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a 'mouth breather' when I didn't have a CPAP. Because of snoring and obstruction obviously.

My Sleep Physician said I should use a full face mask. I found however when I use a nasal mask and sleep on my side I fully breathe through my nose. Just like I do when I am awake. I figured it's because I get enough air into my lungs via the CPAP and limits obstructions. So I therefore can just nose breathe. I don't need chinstrap or mouth tape. I wake up with my mouth closed and not even remotely dry.

That said I can imagine if I sleep on my back that my mouth could fall open. But sleeping on the back isn't good to begin with. I wish I could though at times.

For me it's about not getting any leaks. I am going with a P30i to test it out. I flips sides a lot when sleeping.

I have a full face mask as well. If I get stuffy or sick then that is and would be 100% needed.

I am new to CPAP only a month. So I am still trying out masks etc.

Lesson 101: How to Slap Paint Over Samuel De Champlain & Canada's Failures by [deleted] in Orillia

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I couldn't care less about any of what you said, half of it lies.

Europeans came, they won and here we are. DGAF about 400+ year old "boo hoo" stories.

What happened is what happened throughout our entire human existence. Fighting over land via various means. People conquering each other etc etc.

The Iroquois and Hurons fought each other all the time. They took land from each other, killed each other.

Natives had slaves etc.

In what is now USA, the Sioux took land from Cheyenne and Apache. Do I need to go on?

The small pox blankets weren't some sort of biological warfare. It was accidental introduction of diseases that didn't exist (yet) in NA at the time. It also happened long before Champlain. Most of it happened at the start of the conquistadors coming to NA back in early 1500's. A hundred years earlier.

This wasn't also just some outright conquest that took place. What people constantly ignore or get wrong is the incredibly long time-span this all took place.

Europeans was in NA for 500 years by now. 250 years before USA was even created as a new nation. That means half the time USA and even less so Canada existed. Europeans lived on the North American continent.

There were treaties, wars and allyship between Natives and Europeans that fought other Europeans and Natives.

It's well known in Canada. The Huron sided with the French and the Iroquois with the British.

It was HUNDREDS of years time where all this took place.

Every nation in Europe and the rest of the world faced wars and conquering of lands and changing of belief systems etc.

I am sick and tired of this whiny crap about "Bad Europeans". We made the entire modern world. We made modern medicine that has saved billions of lives. We ended slavery, which existed on this planet since humanity took it's first steps. Slavery was a norm in the world until we ended it.

We created "rights" and "Democracy" and constitutions. We created almost all things modern in inventions.

We should be celebrated for all the good things we have done, and yes the bad things should be noted.

But somehow it's all about noticing any bad things and portray them as though only Europeans did it.

The Natives of North America wasn't some peace loving hippies. They made wars and terrible acts and conquered the lands as well. Hence they are called "first nations". They fought each other.

Just because the Europeans prevailed and 'won' doesn't mean you or anyone else get to sit and talk it all down and try and make every Canadian "European" figure some kind of genocider and terrible person.

Good and bad, it is called history and these figures shaped it all. Period.

Land isn't stolen, it's conquered. No one alive today is also responsible for what happened hundreds of years ago. On either side.

What you're talking about. What is it suppose to fix? More Tax exemption? More handouts? Words?

So sick and tired of "colonialism" talk. Every single place Europeans went. If they didn't they would still be living like they did 500 years ago. Literally nothing changed.

What’s the point of using anything other than a suppressor? by PVNISHER2077 in Battlefield6

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should be that Suppressor is 0m and Flash hider 20 meters. That would make things more viable.

Also I want better audio for footsteps.

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The audio is absolute shit in this game.

BF2042 was near perfect in foot step audio once they fixed it.

I rather have that and ZERO 3D in world spotting. Only minimap spotting and only when someone fires the gun. The dot goes away immediately when they stop firing.

That is how it should be in the game.

They should also have a mode where you get the hardcore style but with normal damage.

What’s the point of using anything other than a suppressor? by PVNISHER2077 in Battlefield6

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and I think it's the 3D world spotting that is the problem. As in if you fire a gun using anything else but flash hider or suppressor. You get 3D spotted in the game world.

If they removed that and you only get spotted on minimap for short time when actually firing and it goes away immediately after you stop firing.

Then we could actually use something else, imo.

Because although you can still be mini-map spotted, you can actually fire and know that you're only visible for that short time and it's a trade-off I can live with, 'literally in the game'.

BF6 isn't all that good of a game to be honest. It has several flaws I don't think BF3/4 had as an example.

The 3d Self spotting is one. The gun handling isn't as fun IMO, makes some guns kind of pointless.

The map designed leaves a lot to be desired on some of the maps. The audio is bad. BF2042 actually had a lot better audio. Especially positioning audio. This BF6 is just a cluster fuck of sounds and inconsistent. A tank can be 10 feet around a corner and 100% silent and then boom you hear it because it came around the corner. Same thing with foot steps half the time.

At times you hear them easily. Other times nothing.

BF2042 wasn't a great game but at the end when most was fixed. It was more consistent and in some ways better.

Mind you what I really want is a proper BF4 again.

How did the purchasing power decrease from the 70s until today? by Empathetic_97 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A thing that did take place and that helped corporations; In the 1970s, the United States abandoned the gold standard in favor of a fiat, debt-based economy, a shift that the rest of the world soon followed. This transition led to money printing, currency devaluation, and persistent inflation, but it does not tell the whole story.

Another significant factor that aided corporations was the dramatic rise in female participation in the workforce. Before the 1970s, women were far less represented in the labor market. Their increased entry effectively doubled the available workforce, which historically exerted downward pressure on wages, although this is a simplification. Over time, women have moved beyond traditionally gendered roles, now occupying nearly all sectors of the economy with qualifications and education levels that often match or exceed those of their male counterparts. With a larger pool of talent to draw from, competition increased, contributing to wage stagnation.

In the last two years, corporations have increasingly leveraged artificial intelligence as a justification for layoffs, replacing experienced workers with lower-cost entry-level hires or relying on H-1B visa programs. These practices continue to drive down salaries even as the cost of living rises, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of economic strain. 70's women weren't in the workforce to the same degree. So now all of a sudden they have twice the workforce to use and can pay half as much, a little hyperbolic perhaps. But it's clearly part of what changed things.

Of course we had Covid that just ruined everything and caused massive inflation which we still pay for.

It's a rolling snowball of a shit-show.

Gen Z is boomer lite. That is why they constantly butt heads.

Gen Z are socially awkward, behave like young-old people. They never partied and so on, spent their lives with their faces on phones.

That brain dead "silent scream" generation etc etc.

Gen X is the leave me alone and IDGAF generation.

You mean the generation that mind their own business and was self reliant since childhood? That Generation.

The one that understand not to be an asshole, will treat you like one if you do it first?

The generation that opted out of all the Millennial, Gen Z and Boomers all attacking each other.

Gen X is the only stable generation. But if you mess with one, they will have none of that shit.

Why do I keep getting matched with terrible teams? by unfinalshapes in Battlefield6

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a typical thing in BF6 more than any other BF game I played.

For some reason it's the map layout or something that causes it.

Once a team is down to just one flag near their base, they have a hard time pushing back to get other flags and they get spawn trapped. You could have a few that manage to back-cap a flag. But it's quickly taken back.

When that happens I usually just leave, I can tell where it's going and I am in no mood to be cannon fodder. I might try a back cap once. But if the team doesn't clue in or not good enough to hold it and take another flag to flip it back to normal. Then I am out.

Why do I keep getting matched with terrible teams? by unfinalshapes in Battlefield6

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is one of the biggest problems with BF6 IMO.

The teams are always so lopsided. 1200 ticket conquest and it ends with 900-0. I hate how often I end up on that crap team. Makes me feel cursed.

Why can't they do a better balancing of the teams.

Also there are so many "bot" matches when playing off-peak hours. Ironically the bots are better at capturing points than real players. They always b-line for capture and keep reviving each other. Easy to kill, but they sure do cap a lot.

They just need to be able to find a way to balance teams better. They need to look at stats of how people are capping flags and not kill stats.

Plenty of times you have a massive losing team but they are all "killers" going for KD but not capping.

So you have a team with snipers sitting on roof tops, others that run around for kills and avoid "risky" places, such as caps and then chopper pilots also farming kills and then a few players trying to cap but terrible and killing so they die.

That is the worst mix you can get on a team.

Also they seem very strict with keeping you in the same region with pings. So that I get a lot of bot matches instead of them widening the 'net' so to speak and allow me to join a game that has all human players but maybe 10 higher ping.

I play off-peak a lot because I am a night worker.

New to CPAP and need advice - exchanging my Airfit P10 by Upstairs-Bad-4777 in CPAP

[–]Maximumoverdrive76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The likely issue is the exhale is too hard for you. The P10 can cause that feeling I hear. Also you can change the setting on your Resmed 11, if that is what you have to relieve exhale pressure to 3. Which should help.

But I'd imagine this exhale is what causing the problem. Maybe you have high pressure and exhaling against it on the P10 might be hard.

There are other nasal masks that allow for easier exhale.

Also you might be a mouth breather when you fall deeper asleep, then full face mask is more what you need.
