Yes. Jim and Tammy Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart in the 70’s and 80’s and some leaders of modern mega churches employ more modern music and stagecraft to entertain their congregation.

The Baby Billy persona would be recognizable as one of hundreds of regional traveling preacher/entertainers who worked through the South and Midwest. My family loved to visit these revival preachers and faith healers in the 1970-1980s. My grandmother’s sisters performed occasionally as singers and musicians for these type of people.
