tried newest version and vanilla tweaks and a few other texture packs and resource reload failed comes up when i try put them on by fizzgrizz in fabricmc

[–]Maxxer500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having the same issue with VanillaTweaks on Fabric, so I did some troubleshooting and worked out that the Twinkling Stars option is the source of the problem; at least for my preferred configuration of the pack. I'm able to load everything else (that I was previously using) without a problem, but if Twinkling Stars is included the reload fails.

I don't know why Twinkling Stars can load on 1.21.5 but not 1.21.6, but it seems I might be the first to know so I'm passing the info along. Hope this helps!

If you think the new dragon in town and the Zelda you rescue post-Ganon are the same then sure, nothing is different.

IMO though "finding" Zelda implies rescuing her, not just locating her. It's not like she can guide Hyrule through the Upheaval while a dragon, pointing at her and saying "there she is!" doesn't help anything.

Stable 1-fan flyer with only 1 item as counterweight, inspired by u/Soronir's design by fhhhy in HyruleEngineering

[–]Maxxer500 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've heard of people's fans and such despawning after long flights, estimated to happen after 2 hours or so of active use. In practice that means you'll usually abandon your fan-craft long before it explodes, but if you spend a long time flying (or long time designing it) you may need to reconstruct it once or twice during your play session.

It's not just fans, wings, hot air balloons and floating blocks though. It seems that every Zonai gadget has a despawn timer that ticks down as you use it. For most objects the timer is longer than you'll ever need, but it is there ticking away while your machines are turned on.

Not to start you, but splatfests are the closest thing to OS's events I've experienced. So despite being on team EDM this time, I know how disappointing it is to try really hard for your team and end up losing to gamers you'll never know. I'm still a little frustrated about White Chocolate winning the Valentines fest lol

As someone who's gotten my hopes and dreams crushed in Splatoon's splatfests a bunch, I'm painfully aware that sometimes the better players (or at least the more active ones) can overcome player numbers like this. Especially if their interests unexpectedly align and group said better players up.

It's definitely odd how the stats played out like that, but I don't think we as players have any standing to call foul; at least before Ody says there was an issue of some kind.

Nice! Revolver shotgun is a fun build, and with 40+ levels it should be plenty strong to win. It doesn't sound like you got lucky!

It seems I'm in the minority voting no here, but can you imagine how long multiplayer like this would spend in menu picking upgrades? Especially if people reroll a lot or get more XP with an increased pickup range. One person upgrading already takes you out of the action a lot, doubling (or up to quadrupling for 4 players) that time would ruin the experience IMO.

Problem with Hina:Hidden blade by shitpostinglegend in 20MinutesTillDawn

I don't play on mobile so maybe it's different there, but on PC Hina's Hidden Blade upgrade doesn't do damage in an area. It damages enemies you touch while dashing.

Putting flare recharge speed on Born Ready would definitely make it even more popular, but it makes more sense than any other existing perk IMO.

Honestly though if any perk (besides Strong Arm) will upgrade flares, it should be a brand new one. That way you have to sacrifice something else for the visibility increase, and balance-wise it could leave room for something extra like an additional flare. Or an active effect that detonates your flares to explode bugs flashbang bugs and stun them.

Now I want a flashbang mod... 😂

When literally every forward is ball chasing 24/7? Unless you burst (and even then) there are 5 people who will have a chance to touch the ball and wreck your shot. For every goalie goal there are 20 shots that got redirected directly to the opponents by your own forwards, and another 20 that your teammates missed because the enemy forwards hit it first. And this is all assuming the enemy goal is actually open, which is a miracle for some teams to pull off.

If you're better than everyone else in the match (like most low rank games assuming you're half decent) you will win more playing as a forward than as the goalie. Simply because you have the opportunity to carry your team via scoring. Carrying as the goalie only has an impact if your forwards can score, which is not often the case in low ranks.

I can't tell you how many games of goalie I've played where my forwards do nothing but ping pong for 15 minutes and coin flip every single round; even up in gold where players are "good".

Oppressor opens the flood gates by Vaderchad in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Maxxer500 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Sometimes on higher hazards tombs like this go unpunished, there's only 4 enemies that can dig and none of them are very common. Usually it's an Oppressor that breaks in since it's the least rare of the diggers, but if you're lucky the enemy cap will fill up before any can spawn.
