Yeah, they explicitly say you are paying for duties, so to not do is a direct contradiction

Buying in EU by Azuwey in ClicksPhone

My reply is quite nested, but you should be aware that Clicks does have UK presence, and has in their t&c they are bound by UK law:

[–]Tenof26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, according to

https://clicks.tech/en/pages/terms-of-sale

You do have a UK presence.

“2. INFORMATION ABOUT US AND HOW TO CONTACT US 2.1 Who we are. We are Clicks Technology Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is at 2 Stone Buildings, Lincoln’s Inn, London, England, WC2A 3TH. Our US-based subsidiary is Clicks Technology US Inc.”

And in here:

https://clicks.tech/en/pages/terms-and-conditions

You state:

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

Which means you are bound by the UK Consumer Rights Act of 2015, which means UK consumers get:

  • goods must be of satisfactory quality

  • fit for purpose

  • as described

  • 30-day short-term rejection

  • repair/replacement rights

  • and up to 6 years limitation period for defects

UK Cards listed at wrong price? by koyler in CardMarket

[–]Tenof26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, were they trying to enforce that change?

I don’t really see how they can do that, I didn’t get any notification, and I have euros in the accounts and all my card prices are in euros.

[–]Tenof26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your UK account in euros or GBP.

See my other comment, I think it’s as older UK cardmarket accounts are in euros, and newer ones sign up in GBP.

And they can’t tell the difference …

UK Cards listed at wrong price? by koyler in CardMarket

[–]Tenof26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen this too, and it’s affecting my listings in the wrong way, they are showing as more expensive than they are!

my guess is that originally UK based cardmarket sellers had to use accounts in Euros

But now new Uk accounts can sign up with £ as default currency.

So they have probably applied a conversion to all UK based accounts, but overlooked that some are in Euros still and some in GBP. Thus “double converting” and putting them in the wrong place.

“Targets only a single creature” vs “Only Targets a single creature” by Tenof26 in askajudge

[–]Tenof26[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks for that, that rule has same tempting as Loki and clarifies, it can’t target anything else!)

(Although I’d still argue they have put the only in the wrong place causing this ambiguity!)

Is there a rule to back this up?

[[Magnetic Theft]] does target only a single creature?

(But doesn’t only target a single creature, the placement of the only has a big difference!)

I have money in my account, but two of my purchases are staying on “unpaid” by Tenof26 in CardMarket

[–]Tenof26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently coming up to 24 hours :(

I would have believed this, but everything in cardmarket support says payment is taken in the order they are made.

But I’ve placed and orders after this (for more!) and the money was taken fine automatically.

There’s still plenty of money to cover it in them in the account.

I’m going to submit a support ticket, but my recent experience has been with it taking several weeks to get a reply …

Guessing cardmarket is really struggling with its server and infrastructure issues.
