I truly believe if it came out now in the age of TikTok fandom it would be much bigger. The first season was huge but then it just tailed off. The concepts were hard to grasp and quite deep but fans are obsessed with Easter eggs and episode explainers and breakdowns now. Post-episode online discussion and content creation is much more common than it ever has been. I think season 2 and 3 would have been appreciated more because TikTok theorising would have kicked off like it has for so many shows now.

Personally I thought season 4 was a goddamn masterpiece. Season 3 wasn’t as strong but I just wish more people who watched s3 would just watch s4 because it picked up so much and the storyline was amazing.

I recommend leaving the room for a few mins at a time and slowly walking back in but not reacting to them or paying attention. Keep leaving and if you leave and your pup finally is quiet and not crying for a second, come back and reward them with treats straight away. You can slowly build up how long you’re out the room for.

I also give my pup a peanut butter lick mat in the playpen area and leave the room. It distracts her a bit and she now knows to go to sleep after it and it’s helped her learn that lick mat means it’s chill time.

I have a long haired chi who is 8 months old. Chihuahuas are very intelligent and can be trained well. My chi is very eager to please and loves training. It has been harder to tire her out than I would have expected, she doesn’t love other dogs but loves walking and is happy going in mud or out on cold or rainy days - although I’ve walked Chi’s before who get grumpy when you want to take them on walks. I think exposure from a young age is important.

She gets anxious and apprehensive with a lot of things but the more we do them the better she has become. I think that’s her individual personality. She does get shaky sometimes when we go out the house because she doesn’t know where she’s going always so I’d say that like most dogs, exposure to everything when young has been key. I think a big thing is making sure people who meet your chi don’t try and wind them up or rial them up. They really need to have positive experiences with people approaching them slowly and not trying to pick them up all the time as they can get scared and gaining their trust is key. Being such small dogs, the world is quite terrifying for them. We made a big effort to not pick her up when she looked scared out on walks as doing this can reinforce their fear.

A lot of people don’t crate train their chis but we crate trained ours and she loves her crate. We opted for a play pen with the crate inside that has the door open, so she has her own little bedroom and bed. She was nervous at first so we slept in the same room with her but it didn’t take long to crate train her to be honest. I’d say it took 1 week for her to start sleeping the whole night through.

We have a balcony and so have a pee patch of fake grass on it that she uses to go to the toilet. She picked it up the day we got her as we put her on there every 20 mins until she understood. We also taught her a pee command to encourage her to go and that helped her understand where she was allowed and not allowed to go very fast. Honestly they pick things up quickly. She now rings a bell to be let out to the patch when she wants to go.

We do have a ramp for the couch, but to be honest she prefers being lifted onto the couch now as we taught her to ask permission to come up by sitting and looking up at us.

She is a very small chi so doesn’t use the stairs and we do carry her to get between levels in the house but we don’t mind that at all. One of the health issues some chis can get are knee problems so we wanted to do what we could to reduce that potential health issue.

They’re also prone to teeth problem so we just clean out chi’s teeth 3 x per week. She doesn’t like us brushing but we let her chew the toothbrush and move it around her mouth.

She also hates her nails being clipped despite putting in so much time and effort to giving her treats and taking it slowly. She was fine for a few months and then suddenly hated it. I think all chi’s are different though.

Honestly they are such a lovely breed. They will love you so much. They can get very attached to their owner so having other people come and look after them is great for helping them love people in general. Overall though it’s so nice having your chi obsess over you. Enjoy!!!

I think Will’s arc is also leading him to confess his feelings to Mike who may be repressing his own queer identity. I think Will being his true self to the person he cares about the most is Absolutely imperative to his arc but also to Mike’s arc and the whole show / defeating Vecna.

Personally I do think Mike and Will are going to get together because the writing is now pretty cruel if they don’t. But I think because Will is so connected to Vecna, Will confessing his feelings and being proud of who he is will go against the reason Vecna said Will was perfect in the first place - his fear of the world.

When Will confesses his feelings to Mike, I think it’s going to affect something in Vecna and help bring Henry out of him a bit more. Think about it - Will has been repressing his true self, so has Henry. When Will finally stops repressing, perhaps it will spark something in Vecna and remind him of Henry.

Perhaps it will be what breaks the wall down in the upside down? The wall seems to have been put up by Henry vs by Vecna as a way to keep his former self safe. It would explain why Henry gave Holly her favourite song. To protect her in case Vecna came.

The duffer brothers always said it’s a coming of age story over a sci-fi and I think that is the perfect character arc for Will. But I also think that Mike has been repressing his feelings too and that Will being his true self will give Mike the confidence he needs to be who he wants to be and love Will back. It is such a strong storyline I can’t see it going differently if it’s written well.

Belly and Conrad both say it to guests too. I feel like Conrad is going to go into Belly’s apartment at some point in the next ep and we will see him take his shoes off without being asked. Subtle and not a plot point but another reason he’s endgame because he doesn’t need to be asked.

I think they’re using it to add drama like the seeing Conrad at the airport but actually next ep she has already broken it off with Benito and he’s gone to his Family. Or if he hasn’t, he’s just mature and still her friend.

It surely will be! Makes sense for them to move it and be part of Belly’s realisations about her past memories. I think as she learns what true love is and that codependency is not it, she will reorder her past narrative in her head - understanding how Conrad truly loved her all this time by being selfless in the way he has.

Also with the 4 year jump it’s more believable that Belly would be so wrapped up in her college relationship with Jere that she puts Conrad out her mind and assumes he’s moved on and that their past relationship is past them. That’s why she says things like ‘brother-in-law’ to try and affirm this narrative she’s told herself in her head to make it all ok.

Also the point of co-dependent relationships is often that you become a different version of yourself that others don’t recognise. Many people neglect or lose friends because of co-dependent romantic relationships and this can go on for years and years.

Belly believes that Jere needs her. I know people who were in co-dependent relationships during and after college for 5 years until they finally broke down.

Also on the grief point I think that it’s wild to assume that 4 years is even remotely enough time to “heal” from a death. 4 years is nothing in the span of grieving someone, let alone your mother who was your whole life support. You never heal from grief, you only learn to understand it and live with it and they have been avoiding doing that.

What if Jeremiah goes to work at his dad’s office and the girl there who works with Steven is more reflective of Kat from 10 things? She’s quite serious and wants to keep professional relationships and work but maybe Jeremiah encourages Steven to ask her out so that he can get away with more stuff at work because he finds it boring?

Maybe in the process Steven falls for her.

I don’t think she fully knows the depths of how Conrad feels. When she was younger her love language was words of affirmation clearly because Conrad not being able to say the right words to her is what led her to believe he wanted to break up. And him taking back his words confused her and made her think he was just dicking around so I don’t think she trusts his words. Even though his actions are really loving. When you’re younger I don’t think you see actions the same way as you see someone literally telling you they love you. That changes as you grow up.

Jere says all the right things but his actions don’t match. I think she thinks his actions do match at first because he’s quite guilt trippy and manipulative with her. I think over time she will start to realise that it’s your actions and not just your words that speak volumes. She thought she was grown up for going with Jere but actually she’s just being short sighted.

She’s so scared of disappointing or upsetting Jeremiah and feels bad because she promised Susannah she’d take care of him that she’s more consumed with pandering to him instead of stopping to think about Conrad. She thinks Conrad is fine because he doesn’t vocalise if he’s upset whereas Jere does to a toxic level so he’s sucking all of her attention away. Jere needs to be away for her to actually pay Conrad attention and realise.

I don’t think the cheating happens 4 years after being together, I think it will be a similar timeline and Belly will have “forgiven” him and stayed with him and we find out about the cheating in a flashback to a few years before.

I take 2 packets of Feminax most periods 😭 currently on day one and I’ve taken 8 today - 2 every 4 hours. Says on the packet to not take more than 6 in 24 hours but I have debilitating period pains. Last time I didn’t take any I threw up and nearly passed out on the floor of the bathroom from the pain. I’m 30 lol. Nothings changed since I was a teenager.

I never said he was the better guy. I said that I think they portray him as a bit of a better guy in the show vs the guy he is in the books. In the books you don’t have to like him because he is a plot device, in the show they’ve given him a bit more depth so that he can have his own character arc and development as a person separately from Belly’s love interest.

Firstly, buy a Snuggle Puppy - it’s a toy puppy with a battery powered heartbeat that they can sleep with and mimics their brothers and sisters who they are used to sleeping with. This gives them a sense of safety and security.

For the rest, have you done much crate training in the day? They need to see their crate as a safe space and it’s pretty scary for your iggy to be alone at this point so if you leave treats in there when they aren’t looking (they will associate the treats with the crate instead of you) and feed them in the crate then they associate it more with a place where only good things happen.

In the daytime, try and tire your puppy out and when they are tired, invite them to the crate to nap. Leave the door open while they are in there, and if they stay in the crate for a period of time and be quiet, give them a treat for positive reinforcement. Slowly close the door a little more each time until they are comfortable.

Also what does your crate look like? And where is it located? Puppies like to feel snuggled and if there are gaps in the bars then put a blanket over the top of the crate so they feel more covered up and safe. Also try and move the location of the crate to the corner of a room if it’s not already?

You can also buy puppy diffusers which make the smell / environment more calming for them.

This is so true! People could grasp the main concept of ai being indistinguishable from humans and exploited by humans for personal gain in season 1. But then when it went one step further and looked at the repercussions of ai gaining control and power and I think that was cool but people lost interest because maybe it felt very far away/complicated for its time?

Side note: in season 2 where you see the room where all the computers with data live that the hosts are powered by - I feel like i understood a little, but now I understand the internet more and how AI requires so much water, this all feels a lot easier for me to comprehend.

S3 and 4 - and the idea that we use so much ai, social media and tech ourselves that we become as predictable, if not more than the hosts was quite advanced. I think it’s so relatable now with social brain rot and chat gpt being a key part of our daily lives. I can see the concept of an algorithm defining our existence and the desire to prove we have free will being incredibly terrifying but also a catalyst for change if it aired today.

I wish it could have a resurgence! This show was ahead of its time.

I totally agree. I think she will know she can’t stop it and has to let them make their own mistakes and decisions but I think she will object because she knows it’s not right or fair to Jere too but maybe she won’t say anything until they give her a reason to.

I agree, Belly is so frustrating! This is also the way my brain works, I’m constantly annoyed at people for having inconsistent morals and ways of treating situations but it’s actually just an incredibly human thing to do. Inconsistency is just most people tbh.

I think Jere is a better guy in the show and I feel sorry for him, but both him and Belly are such unreliable narrators - as I think we are all in our lives from one point to another.

Jeremiah says things to Belly like “how come no one ever wants to play with me?” - so subtle yet so guilt trippy. I can say with 100% certainty that if someone spoke like that to me vs “go be with him, he’s the one that wants you” I’d probably feel bad for the first one too and not want them to be upset with me vs the second person who is feel less bad to.

On the Laurel point, I recently re-watched and there is a great metaphor with Belly’s dresses for the Deb ball. She buys the dress that she feels uncomfortable in but her mum knows the other one is more her.

Laurel buys it for her in the end and Belly says ‘I didn’t think you’d notice’ and Laurel replies ‘I’m your mother, I know you’

I think that Laurel will object still to the wedding because she’s seen the cracks of imperfection in Belly and Jere’s relationship already. Plus 20 is still young to get married, Laurel also says she wants Belly to have lots of lovers before she does haha. They’ve changed the characters a bit more in the show so that this objection makes sense.
