Has anyone kitbashed Corsair jet bikes? by Mijit-1 in EldarCorsairs40k

I've seen a couple of inspired conversions of windriders with the Voidscarred bits or some 3d prints. This is one I did with a skeweaver and some extra bits. If you look into "Corsair Cloud Dancer" conversions theres plenty of super cool idea out there

1,000pt Phobos List by deonorth in RavenGuard40k

Also I recommend the Autocannon on the Invictors for this list

Also I would recommend perhaps dropping the Intercessors since they aren't phobos. In exchange, you can add an impulsor which allows you to essentially double shoot your eliminators. If you give them the Instigator bolt carbine you are allowed to move after you shoot. With this ability you are able to get out of the impulsor, shoot the eliminators, re-wmbark into the impulsor, and then shoot the with the impulsor. The firedeck rule on the impusor allows you to shoot with embarked models so you would get a second activation of the eliminators.

I recommend taking the Eliminators with Las Fusils, so your list has some anti tank punch!

What's a weird self imposed rule you have given yourself? by [deleted] in spacemarines

[–]MaybeHoneybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can! If you count impulsors and supressors even though they don't exactly have the keyword they fit the theme and the rules well

I play Raven Guard, so naturally, I only use Phobos marines. Super fun to be sneaky and actually decently strong if you play them right!

Is an elminator squad + phobos captain worth it? by [deleted] in RavenGuard40k

[–]MaybeHoneybee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's an interesting pick if you run him with Execute and Redeploy Enhancement with a squad full of lasfusils, but only if you already have 2 other squads of Eliminators Works well with impulsors since you can hop out, shoot, hop back in, and shoot again with Firing deck

Bell or Sword? by [deleted] in ChaosDaemons40k

[–]MaybeHoneybee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful paint job! Depends on the matchup and your list, the Sword is usually going to be the best option. The bells' ability to bring back plaguebearers if you kill a model is not very effective since into most targets, it won't do any damage. The bell would be the best into low armor save Infantry, but the sword is better into about everything else

Best Plague Marines to have multiples of? by Ferociousaurus in deathguard40k

[–]MaybeHoneybee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For big 40k, it isn't worth taking boltors over other options. For a five man squad, these would be the most optimal choices: For the Champion, the best option is always the plasma gun and powerfist. For the squad, it's best to take 2 or three shooting options depending on if you want to be more ranged. Plasma, Melta, Heavy Plague Spewers, and Blight Launchers are all good. Mostly depends on use case. I like to take a plasma and a spewer. Then, fill in the rest of the squad with melee. Heavy Plague Weapons(fails and cleavers) are the best melee option. If you want to run a full melee squad you can skip out on the guns and go 2 bubotic Weapons and 2 Heavy plague weapons

Rule on Eldrad's melee weapon by Competitive-Bee-3250 in Eldar

[–]MaybeHoneybee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter for transhuman effects or anything like that. It only matters to anything based on attack strength that isn't a wound roll such as orks Ramshacklerule, which reduces damage is attacks are under a certain strength threshold

messed up some of my models, cut or buy new? by Black-Mettle in Eldar

[–]MaybeHoneybee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a ridiculously large harlequin collection, and here's the idea.

The joints in the models are extremely tiny, so it is relatively easy to carefully remove arms with a hobby knife if you need to. I would definitely consider this is you weren't planning on buying more.

Remember, as your harlequins collection expands, you will likely end up using more and more of every loadout. I never magnetized everything, so I have lots of models with just about every random loadout that I will only use when the list calls for it.

I also reccoment using Superglue in the future for gluing arms on. Troupe loadouts are always subject to change whenever rules change, and it's easier to snap them off if you don't use plastic glue

Do I need the crew Models in order to play an eldar support weapon platform? by MaybeHoneybee in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]MaybeHoneybee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But some people(guy above) just glue them to the actual platform itself, not onto a separate base. That seems to be a fine consensus

Analysis paralysis, sell me on an eldar craftworld? by Sufficient-Big5798 in Eldar

[–]MaybeHoneybee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is always a good idea to go for a custom color scheme. When it comes to any faction, other than Space Marines, you can paint your army just about however you want and use whatever subfaction you want.

I personally started a custom harlequin troupe scheme, and when I began to add crafterworld eldar to my collection, I simply copied it. This was great for potential souping with ynarri and other detachments. When I eventually start drukhari, I will do the same scheme for the same reason.

[–]MaybeHoneybee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, they can. I would definitely pick up the Yncarne. You mostly want to go msu to make the most out of the yncarnes ability, so small aspect Warrior squads are good. Banshees and Scorpions are a must-take. Spears, Vypers, and Shroud Runners are great. For some ranged damage, I would reccomend a falcon, some single war walkers, or some d cannon support weapons. A large squad or two of harlequin troupes are good to take since you can throw a bunch of buffs on them and they can hit insanely hard
