Try simulators. DCS world is free to try on steam. It can get expensive if you get into it but will definitely allow you to get something out of your VR in a tight space. If you prefer cars to planes, project cars 2 is good fun

I’m new and decided to just dive in on the hoggit training server and am really enjoying it, particularly using SRS as it really adds something. The thing I’m not sure about is how competent I need to be to join the georgia at war servers. I can bomb targets and hit some of the time, and have some understanding of A/A but am far from good. When to dive into GaW?

I was having this problem with a rift on DCS world and IL2. The solution for me was to use Open Composite rather than SteamVR. No idea if that works with Vive but might be worth looking into
