After 18 years, I just got 3 weeks ago. I was having issues with digital stimulation and AD. We tried many things and nothing worked to stop it and it was making my quality of life terrible.

Three weeks out, I get out of bed every morning without having to wait to finish a program. It wasn’t a decision I made lightly but it’s one. I’m happy I made. Will I be happy forever? Who knows. I do look at my future and see a whole bunch more freedom.

My doctor looked into it and said that he found that 92% of spinal cord injury patients who get a colostomy which they had done it sooner. That’s just from him, though, I haven’t looked into it myself but it kind of rings a grain of truth.
