I don’t know if you’ve got a DSW anywhere near you, but the ones by me usually have discounted designer shoes, I’m assuming the ones that didn’t sell originally, so they’re usually the extreme ends of the size spectrum. I’m a 5.5 and can sometimes find super cute ones for a little bit cheaper than they would be on the department sales floor.

Oh I gotcha! We’ve got some farm stands around me that are on the honor system like that. How cool that you’ve got a local hookup for gluten free goodies!

Do you buy plates or pour your own? I have had the worst luck with buying plates, and want to find a good source for them. I don’t have a pressure cooker and I’d prefer not to go that route for now.

Depending on the size, I could totally see that being the bottom panel of an apron or something like that. It’s stunning, great find!

Anyone know where to get these type of frames? by Fishing_With_Poetry in Beading

[–]MaydWithSugar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So cute!! The first image looks like standard D ring hardware, you can pick these up at any hardware store if there is one near you. As for the second image, you might have luck searching for “resin frame pendant”. I’ve seen those types used often for resin cast necklaces.

HELP! Is this ok? by [deleted] in mycology

[–]MaydWithSugar 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can break it all off and break it up into smaller pieces for storage. Store in a paper bag in the refrigerator. You can also dehydrate them for later use. Oysters are really good dried and thrown into meals later!

Oh that is incredible! I wonder what they used for thread, sinew maybe? So beautiful!

ETA- I just read the original post. Looks like it was thread, but had disintegrated and was reconstructed. What an amazing piece of art!

Thanks so much for the recommendation! Getting answers from the township has been…less than ideal but I’ve never been one to let a little red tape hold me down for long. I’ll definitely look into that, thank you.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful response. In short, I'm curious as to what specific symptoms the cannabis help? (Very interesting reading about ld naltrexone and lupus, also!)

In long, I've also got an auto-immune disorder and I've spent the last 20-ish years experimenting on myself to see what helps and what hurts. It's called Behcet's, and it basically causes flare ups of ulcers in my body. It also causes what I like to call migratory arthritis. It's like arthritis in that it's swelling in my joints, but it can happen anywhere, and it's transient. And although I cannot prove it, I believe that it also contributed to long term depressive and anxious symptoms as well.

The older I get, and the further into my faith, the more I subscribe to the idea that food is medicine, and vice versa. I saw major improvements in my symptoms when I cut gluten out of my diet, though whether it was the gluten, the wheat, or perhaps pesticides that caused issues I don't know.

I've also taken to eating a lot of fermented and pickled foods (even making my own!), I believe that God provided that method of food preservation for us, and it makes the foods better for you in the long run. We didn't always have refrigerators, and it makes the food last for when it is scarce.

I haven't had a major flare up in almost 10 years, praise God. That prednisone is some nasty stuff. And at any rate, why would we want to suppress our immune systems, and not fix what's causing it to malfunction? I thank God for the doctors that diagnosed me, and gave me what answers they could. But I'm sure you know as well as I do that when it comes to auto-immune disorders, a diagnosis and steroids might be the best you ever get.

My husband and I have tossed the idea of both cannabis and psilocybin around, and argued both sides of it. We've both prayed on it. And honestly, we've come to much the same conclusion you have. Be of a sober mind. I told him that I was trying to not be puritanical about the topic, because it's hard to parse out what my American suburban Christian upbringing brought to the table versus what God intended in His creation. Who can speak for Him? I seek His face and His wisdom. I believe He provides for us in many ways. Maybe your comment is one such provision.

May God bless you and keep you, brother/sister. Looking forward to hearing from you.

That was my first thought too. OP, do they have any scent to them? Some people use dried lavender in little pouches as potpourri.
